You can't go wrong with these!
I'm new to the world of kitchens, so forgive me if I miss important details in my review. The main thing I saw when I looked at all the chef pants on Amazon were fit issues. I tried another brand first and understood the fit issues. I wear between a 38-42 depending on the cut of the pant. I ordered a Large and have plenty of room. You could probably be a 44W and still fit. Legnth is definitely an issue though. Until I have the time and money to go see my tailor, I'm rolling them up about a good 4-5 inches, and I'm 5'8".Features...the cellphone pocket is very nice. Hidden like the description says, but not by the logo where the picture leads you to believe. The cellphone pocket is hidden in the right side pocket. Embarrassingly enough, it took me 10 minutes and a trip to the manufacturer website (and still didn't immediately find it) to figure this out. It does fit a smartphone. Currently I'm using an LG Stylo 2 for reference. Speaking of pockets, there are a total of five, two on back, and three on the sides. Plenty deep too. Zipper fly and drawstring waist too! These pants aren't the coolest, but they're pretty cool. Light weight and baggy, for sure, but I don't get the breeze I felt in this other pair of pants, but after a week in the kitchen, I can still say they're definitely better than slacks. They are water/splash resistant though! When closing, I've splashed large amounts of water on my legs, and my legs have stayed dry, and the water beaded off my pants leg, keeping them rather dry.Aside from the terrible one legnth fits all mindset behind these pants (is it really that hard to make a Large-short, Large-regular, and Large-long?) These are a great pair of pants. I'm mobile, I'm comfortable, I'm prepared, and I'm protected. I'll be considering these for my next pair too.

Good work pants
I haven’t worked in them yet however they are great material and seem very breathable. A little long compared to what I’m used to but I like it. They are not so parachute pant looking which is nice but have a decent amount of give and pull for the job. Also plenty of pockets including a lighter pocket. Definitely would purchase again.

great feel, runs large/long
nice thin material, feels like scrubs. will keep you cool on the line, but won’t offer protection from the walk-in. i’m 6’2 with 30” waist and L was way too large/long. M fits well around the waist, but is still a tad long.

Roomy, comfy, and light
I bought a pair for my dad who is a chef. His favorite pair of work pants ripped/wore out and we couldn’t find them anywhere. I saw the good reviews, so decided to gift him these. He enjoyed them so much, I got him an extra pair. He says they are light enough to not feel heavy or feel like he’s being weighed down; they are loose/roomy enough for comfort and movement, but fit just right that they stay on; and they are black and wash easy so no pants with nasty stains. They are a good price in my opinion and my dad didn’t have any problems of itchiness from the fabric like a few reviewers mentioned.

Great price, comfortable, lightweight, clean easily, Fast wear out but worth it
Great pants! I’ve been a line cook for 10 years and worked in kitchens for 20, these are the most comfortable, lightweight pants I’ve had, they don’t hold on to grease and dirt they wash clean and light. Now my big complaint.. the waist wears out fairly quickly the elastic lasts 6 months or so.. which is fine really.. there is a drawstring to fix that.. but the drawstring breaks within the year and can’t be fixed leaving you stuck with it knotted and you can’t pull the pants up. All that said, 5 stars for the price and the year you get out of them totally worth it for the comfort in a hot dirty kitchen!

Nice elastic waistband, hangs nice also
Has a really good, wide, elastic waistband, and the pant hangs nicely. It has good, slash side pockets, and two not very deep back pockets. They wear nicely around the house, and they don't pull down if you have heavy things in the pockets due to the stout waistband. I ordered another pair. The value is good for what you get.2021 UPDATE: I've ordered these pants five times now and have no complaints, except one suggestion to the manufacturer: Please make the back pockets deeper by at least 1" or put a button or Velcro there to secure whatever's in the back pockets.Pants' quality of manufacture and fit has been consistently good over time. The elastic remains strong after countless washings and runs through a hot clothes dryer, fabric doesn't pill over time, and the color doesn't fade after countless washings. Excellent quality product.

Large fits perfect for 6'4", 210 lb, 34x34.
Really nice pants. As the title says. I've worn 34x34s most of my adult life, I've gained some weight recently so that's getting a bit tight, but the large fits perfectly. And I can tell they'd still fit perfect if I lost 20 lb. The elastic band is nice. The side pockets are nice and deep, but the back pockets are shallow so I wouldn't store anything in there. Especially a wallet or a cell phone.

Decent if overly long pants.
These pants work okay. Size wise, the waist is absolutely perfect but I feel that they're overly baggy and way too long. I ordered XS and the legs are just excessively long and while I won't return these pants, I will probably get them hemmed... (I'm 5'5" for reference) Additionally, considering how lightweight these are, they're a little over-priced... Dirt and flour seem to cling to and show up far worse on these pants compared to jeans, however, the lightweight material makes them far, far more comfortable in a hot kitchen compared to jeans or other pants The design of the pants also means that bending down and moving a lot is not hindered at all compared to jeans where I sometimes feel constricted and worry about ripping a seam.. Additionally, the pockets are huge, which to me is a big plus as it easily fits my wallet and smartphone.

Great pants for the tall chef
Bought a second pair of these after the first arrived. They are quite long which is great. Our son in 6'4" and weighs about 155 lbs. He's been in the restaurant industry for nearly twenty years and this is the first time we found pants that fit him that are made for kitchen work. Prior to that, we searched everywhere for dress pants that were washable and could be dried in a dryer. Very happy and hope that these pants continue to be sold on Amazon for the next time we need them.

Looks cheap, feels cheap.
Also, sizing is wrong, very baggy, too large. I would not recommend.
