These were exactly what I was looking for. I was excited to get them and try them out!! I was ready to order more even though they are a little pricey. I had them for 12 days and hadn’t worn them every day or for hours on end the days I did wear them (I don’t wear shoes in the house) and they started to smell terribly. My feet do not sweat extensively so I don’t know why they were so bad. I had to wash them twice before I got enough of the smell out to wear them again. I’m afraid I’ll have to wash them every other time I wear them and that in itself causes undue wear and tear. I really want to give them a 5 star rating. They would be my go to shoe for everything from boating to walking around!! They fit great and are exactly the look and style I’ve been looking for for a long time. I’m sad that I may just be wasting my money if I buy more although I can’t look past the smelly shoes. I’m going to try vinegar on them and even try freezing them. Don’t know if I’ll buy again or not!!

These were pricey, but well worth the money. I'm a casual kayaker, and was visiting friends on the rocky Maine coast. These shoes were perfect for launching and landing on the small islands, as well as doing shoreline exploration. The soles are super sticky! Shoes drained and dried quickly, and didn't allow much sand in. They look fairly cute for what they are. The wide toebox is comfy, but also streamlined enough to be fine in the cockpit. As for sizing, I'm usually a 9.5, but these were fine in a 9. I would also say I think they stretched a little after a couple days of use. Worth the $ to feel secure on the rocks.

I love astral shoes for white water rafting. I bought these as an alternative to the slip ones I have and for something a little note sturdy for getting out of the boat. Unfortunately I ended up returning these because the fit was off. Order a half size larger or your toes will be crushed!

Stitching under the tongue is really, really rough and irritating. If you plan to wear without socks, it will cause abrasion to top of foot. . Had to return them for my purposes. But super cute and comfy fit otherwise! Bummed!

The soles are sticky. A good thing if your feet will be wet and you're hauling a kayak down a boat ramp or slippery gravel launch. Falling is...bad. :)But, the 7.5W is HUGE. I could get the entire tip of my finger between my toe and end of the shoe. I normally take a 7 or 7.5. either a M or W and it depends entirely on the shoe. This one was way, way bigger than a normal combination of 7/7.5 and M/W.But what really was off? The color. It wasn't that pretty mid-range blue it was super dark navy. Nowhere near the color shown which appeared to be a medium blue.

Astral anything rocks! These shoes have been in the ocean, smelly river, on many hikes and they have washed up and held up beautifully without maintaining any icky smell (which is super important for me- don’t want to have to travel and take smelly shoes in my bag). These are THE best!!

This piece of fabric won’t stay flat and rubs my foot, irritating it, very frustrating. I really wanted to like these but can’t even wear them one day.

I use these for parkour, I hope maybe some day Astral will make parkour shoes, these soles have better grip than my OLLO parkour shoes. Dear Astral, please make parkour shoes.

Fit my feet well to wear just with socks (SUP) but also have wide toe fit so I can still wear a drysuit socks in there (whitewater kayaking). I've always had to have two different size shoes in the fast for these two activities so I can finally combine these in one shoe. Good grip and drain really well and super light weight. Very impressed with these and on top of all this they actually look good!
