The Beatles in America Poster Book Paperback – Poster Calendar, October 1, 2013

Let me begin by saying I ordered two copies of this book. I have one in my library for looking through any time I feel the need (or yearning) to see pix of the Fab Four and I had the best pix from the other framed and they are hanging all over my house. However, be aware this is a Poster Book, not an in depth reading book, so don't be taken off guard if you want a book to tell you the in depth history of the Beatles. This book brought back some of the thrill of my childhood when I looked through magazines to find new pictures of my musical heroes. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys walking down memory lane by looking at pictures or who wants to try to capture some of the feeling and ambiance of the Beatle years. It is also a great book to frame or just tear apart and plaster to your walls.

The title is a bit misleading. You're not getting "posters" advertising concerts throughout America ("From The Beatles First U.S. Tour To Their Last") over the years. This is a collection of reproduced 11" X 14", photographs, beginning when The Beatles first hit America until their final time in the U.S.Most (if not all) the photos will be familiar to Beatles fans. But saying that, some of them would look pretty good framed and hanging on the wall. The perforated edge makes tearing out the pages pretty easy. The photos themselves are of pretty good/good quality. The subject matter ranges from The Beatles getting off the plane for the first time in the U.S., to group photos, to live shots of the group on stage, to having their photo taken with Ed Sullivan, etc.I thought I'd post this short review in case Beatles fans thought they were getting reproductions of actual concert posters--which would actually be a good idea. Maybe someone will publish something like that in a similar format. Hmmm. Cheers.

It's a good book, i like the pósters, and has a good quality of prints, very easy to separate and for the price is an excelent piece of history. I like it very much.......!

Great book! and excellent timing on the shipping (it arrived earlier than expected.) My nephew - huge Beatles fan - loves his gift.

Bought this for my 10 year old granddaughter for Christmas, and I think she will love it. Very happy with it myself.

Cover and even the description of this book will lead you to believe it contains reproductions of Beatles posters of the era. Not so! Just a collection of pics I've seen before with perforated pages. Very deceptive Mr.Hayward
