I use double point needles to knit cute little bears to give away to needy children. Recently someone gave me a large amount of bulky suede-like yarn. It makes bigger bears, and the stitches were falling off the ends of my short needles. These are just perfect, and a bit hard to find at ten inches long!

These are great knitting needles. The shape, texture, and length are all quite adequate, but what really makes them stand out is the excellent absorbent quality of the wood. They'll absorb and take on the color of whatever liquid you immerse them in. The bloodstains from the slain throats of my vanquished foes have added a lovely dull red patina and really improved the original dull tan luster.
