Ramona the Brave

Ramona is a wonderful character full of stories any kid can relate to, whether misunderstandings or imaginative scenarios. Great read!

The Ramona books by Beverly Cleary were a part of my childhood. I remembered them so fondly I wanted to share them with my daughter. Ramona the Brave did not disappoint. My daughter loved the book which is fun for kids and adults alike. These would make a good bedtime story for kids staring to enjoy chapter books. I would recommend them to anyone who loves fun stories with a plot and pace gag make you want to keep turning pages.

Somehow I reached the age of 63 without ever reading Beverly Cleary. My niece recently brought home Cleary's RAMONA THE BRAVE and I was hooked. Cleary creates complex and wonderful characters with understated ease. I fell in love with Ramona who is a sensitive, kind, creative and intelligent little girl. Also Ramona's family are the kind of people who you would like to be friends with. They care about each other, but are not saccharine, two-dimensional characters you often find in lesser children's literature. I am now reading more Ramona books, and you should too!

For an affordable price, it makes a wonderful gift to youngsters.

Beverly Cleary captures the thoughts, dreams, and challenges of childhood. The disengaged babysitter, sibling rivalry, misinterpretation of what adults are discussing, the fears of the unknown.Ramona is a bright, sensitive and thoughtful child whose family faces the challenges of working parents and the financial difficulties of associated starting a career while raising a family. Ramona handles their challenges with grace and humor.My daughter loves these books along with the Henry Huggins series. Good early reader.

What’s there to say. Ramona was my favorite as a child, and now has become my daughters favorite as well!Book came in great condition (new).

Romona is delightful. These stories make me smile, or, laugh out loud. Indeed, she makes a person remember what it was like to be her age. I also, remember other little girls that was or is now even like Romona. I loved reading the story, and I am a grandmother.

I love this book because it was absolutely amazingly beautifully funny!!!!:) and I find that Ramona should not be laughed at. I find her very brave and sometimes a bit rough. (written by Ise rose 7 yo)

Book doesn't look new...its in bad shape...pages are yellow and old...the only good thing is that the story is nice with easy words for the kids to read themselves.

Age appropriate story. My little girl enjoyed reading a chapter every night. She chooses the topic of interest for her. At the end she was interested in all topics.

６歳のラモーナは一年生になりました。お姉さんのビーザスといっしょじゃない自分だけの新しい部屋になったり、ラモーナが学校に行っている間お母さんがパートに出たりと、ラモーナを取り巻く環境は少ずつ変わっていきます。楽しみにしていた学校もなんだか担任の先生と馬が合なくて、あまり楽しめません。いつも、元気に頑張っていたいと思うのですが、それはとても難しいことでした。ラモーナの頑張りが周囲とうまくかみ合わず空回りしてしまう様子、クラスメートとの関係が良く描かれています。
