GE Lighting 73788 Medium Base General Purpose PS25 Light Bulb, 130-Volt, 266/300-Watt, 1 Count (Pack of 1), Clear

This bulb, in all actuality, is 266W @ 120VAC. I bought this bulb to be very prepared for testing electronics on my current limiter device. As demonstrated, we see the bulb displaying resistance due to being run in series to a lamp that is using a 100W bulb. This bulb is not as pictured, in terms of the filament and its observable innards.I assume that in recent years, incandescent bulb construction has become less of a focus. And I can see why, what with the adoption of the LED as a viable light source for almost every need. Don't get me wrong, it works well, five stars. But I think the packaging should be updated to reflect its appearance.All in all, my usage of this bulb is way more unique than most people's needs. But I am very pleased with it, anyway! Pretty much exact replacement for the original edison mazda bulbs I had for my 20s/30s floor lamp. I saw they also sold extension pieces on Amazon to make using regular bulbs possible...but these just feel right and give off insane light. I like using as close to original equipment as possible. This is as bright or close to it as my original 150watt bulb. I love having light in my room again, every other lamp is too dark to illuminate the whole room adequately and without an ugly greenish cast. I will never use those awful mercury burning swirly lights in my bedroom. Yay for incandescent lights!Update... It's 2020 and I'm still using my same lightbulb! Don't know if it's because the fixture in vintage and doesn't push the full wattage out if the light or if it's got better conductors. Probably something to do with the fixture. I use and leave on my bedroom light a lot. I was shopping for bulbs again for modern fixtures I have. They never last as long as they project. Then I thought I'd get a spare mogul bulb and realized it has been over 6 years since I replaced that sucker! No diminishment of light either. Trust me I would notice.Nice bulbs you got there!

When only a real incandescent will do, this is just the thing! My current limiter will let a handful of amps through with only the faintest glow... but use a heating element (or cause a real short) and WHAM you're blinded.

Works well where you need a bright white light for limited hours since the rating is 750 hours at 130 volts and 1950 hours at 120 volts. I don't know where you get 130 volts? I use them in my garage ceiling fixtures. I don't use them much but when I do I like the brightness they provide. Keep in mind that they will put out some heat.

This light bulb is good but i almost burned the house down with this mf! Be carefull

This was a replacement for a 200 watt bulb in the living room that was not giving off enough light for the large room. However the 300 watt GE bulb filled the room with much more light than I expected. I am very pleased.

100 watt bulbs still did not light up the front of my home like I wanted. I got this 300 watt and it lite up like the Batman signal. I will be purchasing it again. So now instead of turning on 4 lights in the front this one bulb is all I need

I use incandescent bulbs for light therapy for myself. Just sit under and relax. It’s beautiful. Gets hot to touch very quickly. It warms me up and de stresses me. Great bulb.
