Musiclily Pro 8-Hole Guitar Tele Pickguard for JPN Made Fender Japan Telecaster, 4Ply Black Pearl

I could not find a stylish pick guard to replace the old scratched guard on my 1984 MIJ Squire . I found this Musically Pro Black Pearl guard on Amazon. I expected that some new hole drilling would be needed as the Japan-made Fenders used metric measurements. No drilling was needed. My luthier just sanded off about 1/16 of an inch around the neck opening and in fit quite well. I own 5 Tele or Tele style guitars. This new addition to the "herd" now looks as good as the rest. Good quality pick guard and it looks great. Great price, quality item and fast shipping. What's not to like. Highly recommend.

It fit my CIJ 62 reissue tele perfectly. Important to note, there are 2 plastic coatings on the surface that need to be ripped off. Underneath is a high quality smooth plastic. Mint green is a nice color.

Perfect fit on a 2004 Fender Made in Japan TL-62! Quality looks great, especially for the price.

I had to drill my own neck pickup mounting holes. WTF?

Holes cannot align with the original one on my MIJ Hybrid tele guitar body. Some of them are just next to the original one, not able to drill a new hole for this pickguard.

Fit perfectly, included the mounting screws but I just used my old ones. Really transformed the guitar - black on sunburst is amazing.

Ya había visto alguien comentario al respecto, pero si el producto indica expresamente que es para Fender Telecaster Japon, y lo vas a instalar en una de esas guitarras, no entiendo que no se adapte como corresponde. Primero el hueco del mástil es menor que el mástil y entra muy justo, segundo los tornillos quedan descolócanos, y tercero el hueco donde va el selector de pastilla tampoco esta alineado por lo que hay que forzarlo un poco o limarlo. El golpeador esta bien y mas para el precio que tiene, pero es una pena el encaje. debo decidir si lo devuelvo o lo trabajo un poco. Pero ojo, no vale para la Fender telecaster 60's japonesa

So, I have five Telecasters, literally from every manufacturing facility Fender owns. I have one from California, one from Japan, two from Mexico, and one from China (Affinity).This guard DOES NOT fit ANY of my guitars.With modification (you will have to drill at least two new holes in your guitar) this guard can be made to fit, but it is not properly drilled for ANY known Fender guitar.This was really disappointing because it is a legitimate pearl guard without that nasty yellow undertone, and the material it is made from is great. This company should sell the guard without holes so we can make our own, really nasty that I have to toss this in the trash, it literally has no use at all.
