The Godox V1C Speedlight Camera Flash is a reliable and versatile
The Godox V1C Speedlight Camera Flash is a reliable and versatile flash unit for Canon cameras. It offers a powerful output and efficient recharge times, making it suitable for both professional and amateur photographers. One of the standout features of the Godox V1C is its round shape design, which enables a more natural and even light distribution compared to traditional rectangular flashes. This helps reduce harsh shadows and produces more pleasing results. The flash also has a 2.4GHz wireless transmission system, allowing for easy and convenient off-camera flash setups. It can be used as a master flash to control multiple units, or as a slave flash triggered by another Godox flash or transmitter. This versatility is a big advantage for photographers who frequently need to control multiple flash units for creative lighting setups. The V1C has a zoom range of 28-105mm, which can be manually adjusted or set to auto. The auto zoom feature analyzes the focal length of the lens and automatically adjusts the flash coverage accordingly. This is a handy feature that eliminates the need for manual adjustment, saving time and effort during a shoot. The flash also supports TTL (Through-The-Lens) metering, which allows for accurate and automatic flash exposure based on the camera's settings. This is particularly useful for photographers who prefer the convenience of automatic exposure control. In terms of build quality, the Godox V1C is well-constructed and feels sturdy in the hand. It has a metal hot shoe mount, which is more durable than plastic mounts found on cheaper flash units. However, one downside of the V1C is its relatively high price compared to other speedlights on the market. While it offers excellent features and performance, some photographers may find the cost prohibitive, especially if they are on a tight budget.Overall, the Godox V1C Speedlight Camera Flash is a reliable and versatile flash unit that offers excellent performance and a range of convenient features. Its round shape design, wireless transmission system, and TTL metering make it a great choice for Canon photographers who need a reliable flash for various shooting situations.

I just need to vent a bit about the V1C flash.
I purchased this item in late April of last year. I am more of a natural light photographer but on very rare occasions I do use a flash for indoor photography. When the flash is working it is very good. However, you expect your equipment to last and to work when needed. I had to shoot some wedding images and this was only the second time I used it. I used it a month before to familiarize myself with it. So yes it had been sitting in my camera bag for almost a year. That being said the flash was never abused in any way. What eventually happened at the event I was at was that it all of a sudden failed to sync with the camera. It wouldn't fire a flash when I depressed the shutter. After playing with it by taking it off and putting it back on the camera body to make sure it was locked into the hotshoe it would still not work. Luckily I had packed my Canon Speedlite as a precaution. That was a very wise decision because I was able to continue shooting. The manufacturer was rather prompt in getting a hold of me I explained the issue and the manufacturer said to see if there was any wobble in the locked hot shoe. I said there was not. I explained what I had done to try to remedy the issue but it was not working. The manufacturer responded by saying I would need to order the Hot Shoe/Locking mechanism. Now granted it was only $19.95 and I received a video with that email showing me how to replace it. It seems rather straightforward enough. However, my point is that since this was only the second use of the flash that part should have been replaced at their charge. The reason being is that they needed to stand behind the quality of their product. It wasn't the money just the principle or the matter. Yes it was over a year old and it was out of the warranty period but again it was its second time being used. In the future, I may not purchase another Godox product I will probably stick with my Canon Speedlite which after 13 years is still operating flawlessly.Al Cappello

Great flash with great battery life
I love this flash and the fact that integrates into the Godox ecosystem is even better. You can use it alone on camera, or use it off camera and have the Godox wifi system control it. It is my on camera flash for all my events I photograph. Works well even in very very dimly lit rooms. The round head lights the frame evenly on my Canon Eos 5 mark III. I highly suggest getting the Godox AK-R1 kit to go with it to give you even more control over your lighting.

Great Speedlight
I also bought a hotshoe cable extender and bracket to get it off the vertical axis of the camera. TTL worked great on my Canon 5Dm2.Great recycle time and battery lasted my whole gig. Lots of techy flexibility in this flash and their associated gear. Slaves and remote triggers. Great line up to support this flash.

Great value for money
I purchased this flash in hopes of seeking out a worthy successor to my aging Canon 600EX-RT speedlites, as well as using it as a second/third off-camera light in combination with my existing Godox strobes. So far I have been nothing but impressed at how much value this light brings-- the round head is perfect for using with the AK-R1 accessory kit as well as in modifiers for a more even light spread compared to a traditional fresnel lens, the flash never skips a beat when taking many (reasonable) consecutive shots around or under 1/2 power, and having to deal with slightly less AA batteries in favor of a dedicated Li-ion battery that honestly seems to last forever as much as the ones on some of my other strobes is a very welcome quality-of-life improvement from typical speedlite flashes. My only primary reservation about the flash is that its built-in modeling lamp is less than ideal for just about anything I can think of, as it's not only quite low powered but is also a fixed warm color temperature which is a shame. You're better off keeping it off unless you want to use it as a flashlight I guess? All-in-all, a very nice product.
