Best modern book on alchemy!
Thanks to the author I finally understood the concepts of Philosophical Mercury, Sulfur and Salt in their connection with traditional Yoga, especially as described in Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Manfred's explanation is brilliant!

Of interest to alchemists and chemists
This book is a welcome addition to my bookshelf. Good information on alchemy as well as being eminently practical of its description of chemistry techniques. I have worked as a lab tech doing distillation and this book explains the process much better than many chemistry resources. Contains much of interest to those who enjoy chemistry, esotericism, or alchemy.

A must have for every alchemist!
Fantastic book that opened a new world of wonder for me! I’ve had an interest in philosophical alchemy for years and have recently been more interested the practical approach. I don’t care if this is a repackaged book as some reviewers have complained about. The bottom line is that the author is an expert in the field and will inspire awe in any reader with a penchant for the Divine art.

AWESOME!
TOTALLY AWESOME BOOK! My favorite regarding Herbal Alchemy. I wish Dr. Junius had written more as his style is very understandable and comprehensive. The only other modern day Alchemist/author in his class is Robert Allen Bartlett, who in addition to his work on herbal Alchemy, "Real Alchemy", also addresses the mineral works in his "The Way of the Crucible". All three books are a must have for an aspiring Alchemist! Absolute Gold!

I love this book but at the same time i have to decipher some of the ingrediants as the author merely copied and did not experiment nor breakdown what is necessary in todays society as far as the ingrediants are concerned....would be better if they did this themselves then wrote the translations side by side...

Alchemy in its best
Great introduction to the subject. In theory cares about a good cientifical vision and the diference between the modern and ancient science. Also compares the alchemical (and western) theories with the Veddic system of healing (Indian/Eastern). But the greater things comes on the practice indications, spceially on the Circulatum Minus, Vegetal Stone, Honey and Blood works. There are golds hidden there, and the look of the wise will find the right ways to apply.

A practical, definitive and highly accessible guide to plant alchemy and preparing natural remedies.
An extraordinary work. The author demystifies in an accessible way what is to many people a very obscure mysterious subject. It is also a very practical and down to earth step by step guide to many alchemical processes. Most notably (to me), it shows the origins of the present day pharmacopea at a time when science and spirituality had not altogether parted company. Inspiring.
