Very happy with this product since I started taking last year.Only disappointment was that my most recent delivery was out of date (01/2021).Hopefully product gets rotated right away and my reorder is in code.

The best
I can tell the difference when I take these. Once when I felt a problem coming on I took these and that solved it. If you want to protect your gut, these are the best.

Great
Best probiotics I have taken however, they do have an odor to them so don't be surprised when you first open them up.

Though this Multiform probiotic is shelf-stable, it also reads on the label to refrigerate for longer life, so I’m not sure what that means—will they lose potency after opening? Or do they mean only if you don’t take them within the two months supply after opening?Multiforms are able to withstand stomach acid—I’m not sure if the probiotics I’ve been taking are that way as well, or if this is a marketing device. If I eat yogurt, it is digested by my stomach acids but it still is a probiotic. So — yeah, I don’t know if this is really something I would pay more for a probiotic. These are easy to swallow if you have problems with bigger capsules, as these aren’t large. In my research on probiotics, it was suggested to find probiotics that list the strains with numbers after them, so you can tailor what you need for your needs. This doesn’t have that, but since I just like a broad-spectrum probiotic, and the information out there is so confusing, I find I mostly go by what I can afford, if there are enough strains, and whether I have to refrigerate the probiotic. This one has all but the price point—they are expensive. At a bit over $45 at time of this review, that’s a little steep for me. They’ll last two months, so that’s a little over $20 a month, which isn’t terrible, but I’m so used to paying less for my probiotics, I’m going to have to consider if I want to pay twice as much for these.I think if you have specific problems that a probiotic will help you with, then paying more for a more quality (at least in claims) probiotic may be in order, but if you just want a probiotic just to add to your dietary supplementation, then this one may be too expensive.Do your research and then try to decide from there. Or pick the probiotic that seems to work for you and that you can afford. These didn’t bother my stomach or cause any other upsets.I’m sure they are a great probiotic, but so are the cheaper ones I am taking now.

A broad spectrum of pro-biotics backed by solid scientific reasoning.
Over the past few years, I have become interested in probiotics in both natural food and supplements. I read Brain Maker: The Power of Gut Microbes to Heal and Protect Your Brain-for Life] and [[ASIN:142621846X The Psychobiotic Revolution: Mood, Food, and the New Science of the Gut-Brain Connection , both of which are very illuminating.Brain Maker recommends five different probiotic strains: l. plantarum (present), l. acidophilus (present), l. brevis, B. lactis (present), and B. longum (present). This probiotic contains Bacillus subtilis, B. coagulans, L. acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis, B. longum, L. rhamnosus, L. salvartus, L. casei, B. breve, and L. plantarum.Containing four out of the five probiotics recommended by the book is pretty good!I have been taking a variety of probiotics, so I don't know which one is responsible for my improved gut health, but I definitely recommend taking a broad variety of probiotics, drinking kefir and kombucha, and eating yogurt and kimchi. Here are five other probiotics I've tried. I have no idea which one is effective, but together they made a difference. Recent studies suggest that diversity in the gut may be important.1. THORNE RESEARCH - Bacillus Coagulans (formerly Lactobacillus Sporogenes) - 60's If you had to choose just one probiotic, I would go with this one. It's cost effective, highly recommended and produced an immediate response.2. Digestive Advantage Daily Probiotic Capsules, Dietary Supplement, 30 Count Same manufacturer, same probiotic as the gummies (and as #1 above, Bacillus Coagulans), but in pill form.3. Acidophilus Plus Goat's Milk - 200 - Capsule Requires refrigeration, different probiotics which may not survive gut as well as Bacillus Coagulans, but good for culturing yogurt.4. Enzymatic Therapy - Pearls IC - 90 caps Contains six different strains of probiotics. Attempts to beat the gut problem through the design of the pill--which I can attest to being practically impossible to cut open or otherwise mess with. Whether it survives the gut, who can say? I think it is worth throwing in the mix, however.5. Hyperbiotics PRO-15 Probiotics - 60 Daily Time Release Pearls - 15x More Effective than Probiotic Capsules with Patented Delivery Technology - Easy to Swallow Probiotic Supplement Another high tech probiotic, the PRO-15 contains L. plantarum, L. acidophilus, B. lactis, and B. longum. This is one of the probiotics I instinctively feel has worked the best for me, though it is always hard to tell with a sample size of one.You can also get a yogurt maker like this: Euro Cuisine YM80 Yogurt Maker and culture some of these probiotics yourself. The insync Natural Probiotic, because of its design, is a bad choice for this, by the way. I did not find the B. coagulans to culture well. However, the Acidophilus Plus Goat's Milk - 200 - Capsule , which contains three different probiotic strains did work acceptably. There are apparently very old, heritage bacterial "communities" available for purchase that may give your gut even better diversity. You can also culture non-dairy products like coconut milk if you suspect you are allergic to dairy. If this interests you, you will find many resources on the net.Expect a few days of quirkiness in the digestive tract once you start taking probiotics. I didn't find the kefir to do much, by the way. The pill probiotics did the trick. Also, on at least one occasion I experienced an autoimmune response. Keep some Benadryl on hand, as some of these probiotics have effects on histamine. With this product there is one other consideration. One of the claims for Bacillus subtilis is that it generates Nattokinase in your gut. Nattokinase has been hyped as a potent blood thinner and clot dissolver, but naysayers like the Cureality blog make two points: one, it has a hard time surviving your gut, and two, it is a dumb clot dissolver--in other words, to paraphrase Cureality, it may dissolve the clot you want dissolved in your artery leading to your heart, but it may also dissolve a protective clot in your brain preventing you from having a fatal hemorrhage. So, if this probiotic actually manages to work in your gut to generate nattokinase, which would bypass the gut issue, it could well be very effective and therefore quite dangerous, in particular if you are taking any other blood thinners or clot dissolvers. For that reason, I would discuss it with your doctor if you are in at an risk group, and I would like to see some discussion from the company about the issue.Good luck!

Gentle, easy-to-use, probiotics helped with digestive issues while traveling
I have been on the road more than usual the past year. Eating other people's cooking can be stressful for my digestive system. At the most recent place where I have been stationed, I was having a lot of stomach issues, so I decided to try these probiotics to see if they would help. I have been really pleased with the results since I started taking them.First, I appreciate how easy they are to take. You only need one capsule a day, and they recommend taking it with a meal. I usually take it after lunch or dinner, since I take a multivitamin at breakfast. The capsules are not too big, and they go down easily with a drink of water.Second, the ingredients are simple. In addition to the various "good microbes" usually found in these products, the capsules are made of vegetable cellulose, gellan gum, water, rice dextrin and medium chain triglycerides. There's no stearic acid, silica or similar chemicals to cause restless leg syndrome or other complications. There aren't a bunch of sugars that might feed the bad bacteria, either.Third, and most importantly to me, they really do work--quite quickly. For quite some time, I had been experiencing stomach upset since arriving at this new location. I don't know whether it was a change in diet, less than sanitary food, or different drinking water. Whatever it was, I was miserable. A few days after taking this, I started having less gas and indigestion. I wasn't feeling as hungry all the time (especially for carbs), and I slept better, too.$40 for a 60-day supply seems a bit steep to me. However, I don't know how that price compares to similar products that contain shelf-stable probiotics. You will want to keep it out of the sun and heat to protect the good critters inside. If you find yourself craving sweets and starches, suffering digestive issues or recovering from a run of antibiotics, this product will definitely help you get back to normal quickly.
