I purchased this bit because the up cutting bit was pulling the sheet of .050 inch thick ABS off the spoil board on my CNC router and causing the cut to wander and that ruined the parts. This down cutting bit pushes the plastic sheet down onto the spoiled board as it's cutting so the sheet does not slide around and the part geometry is correct without any warping or distorting of thin sheets of plastic. I was able to cut thin plastic that was only secured on the four corners of a 24 inch by 48 inch sheet. This tiny bit is expensive but well worth it. Be careful when changing tools. A slight tap with a wrench or dropping onto concrete will ruin this tiny carbide bit. However it lasts a long time cutting material if not abused.

I purchased this bit to use in my CNC router, for work where I needed the top surface to be nice and clean. I've been using one of their single-flute 1/4" diameter bits for quite a while with great luck, and this one was no different. Razor sharp, and incredibly clean-cutting. I would strongly recommend this to anyone trying to cut detailed objects that need a clean top surface or extra hold-down pressure in the cut. Really great bit, I'll get another one when this one wears out.
