Works Great with Wee-Ride Pro Pilot
A great addition for safety and mom's sanity when she's riding behind my son and I. She will even venture ahead now, without excessive paranoia that our 4-yr old will fly off with each bump (though I'm dying to have him get off and hide while I ride up to her and pretend I don't know he's gone). I'm using this on a Wee-ride Pro-Pilot. It fits the seat post perfectly once you remove the bushing. All it costs you (other than the $45 price) is an inch and a half or so of seat adjustment height off the low end. The seatback seems comfortable to him and the belt is pretty secure. I'd still want his hands on the bars and his feet on the pedals though. The seatback has two vertical positions on the mounting bracket, so you can adjust for the child's torso height. The lower position puts it right at the top of the seat on the Pro Pilot. Perfect for my son.

could have been great if we got all the parts
I ordered this for my autistic son and when it arrived there was no mounting bracket. I called Amazon, they were very helpful and quickly sent a replacement. Only problem was the replacement was missing the mounting bracket as well. I called again and was not as happy with the results. I was told that it could not be rectified, and that all they could offer was to refund my money upon return of the item and that I could buy from another source, through Amazon.com that had them but the cost was almost double. Needless to say we still don't have a backrest for our son because we cannot afford a more expensive option. If Amazon is going to sell a product they need to be sure that all necessary parts are included!

Very Easy to Install, sturdy!
If you've got a kid with special needs you know that as soon as they slap a 'special needs' label on something you're going to pay between 4 and 10 TIMES what you'd pay if it was in the normy market. So I was SO happy to find this! I have a child with mild CP; it provides support and safety while still encouraging my son to use his trunk to support himself. This was easy to install, took less than 5 minutes and when combined with the trail-a-bike, it...well, it kicks butt! I'm grateful to people who make products for kids with challenges and then don't turn around and gouge us, so this company has just bought my loyalty. They make a good product for a fair price and they got it to us in time for Christmas and I'm completely happy.

Simple but effective and gives mom peace of mind
I bought this when I bought the Trail-A-Bike for my 38 month old daughter, because I was nervous about her strength and ability to balance on a bike seat since she has never been on a "real bike" before and being so far up off the ground going at faster speeds, I felt this would be a good addition to the package. I did have some difficulty getting it attached at first, but I think my daughter ran off with one of the screws that tightens it, so that is possibly why. The local bike shop got it secure in no time flat so not an issue. The only issue I have with the back rest is that the buckle straps that go around the child's waist could be longer. My daughter is still small so has to lean forward a good bit to reach the handlebars so with her bent forward, I have to extend the buckle straps as long as they go and it is just fitting her, but a bit tighter that is ideal for her comfort. She hasn't complained but I see it digs into her belly too much. Other than that, I think it is great. It gives me peace of mind that it offers her a little more security and balance on the bike seat.

Perfect for special needs!
This is wonderful. My son is autistic so I wanted to be able to ride him around but he would not be able to stay on himself. He loves taking bike rides and this seat back is perfect, it keeps him on and is very sturdy, but also allows him to lean forward to grab the handlebars. The pictures show how he is able to lean forward to grab the handlebars as well is how sturdy it is that it keeps him on while we are not yet moving. It is worth every penny especially is you have a special needs kiddo!
