The Big Book of Irish Songs

My mom decided she wanted an Irish song book, and this one definitely filled the bill. She's having a wonderful time singing along!

A great collection of Irish songs with lyrics, music (including the left hand bass clef) & chords. Someone mentioned the chords are not guitar friendly in some of the songs, but that's what they make capos for and you should learn how to transpose as part of your development.

This is a great collection of songs with approachable arrangements for piano. My complaint is that they changed a lot of the lyrics from the original, as far as I can tell.

This book contains most of the Irish songs I need to accompany a 100 year old lady who will be playing her violin on St. Patrick's Day. The music is written similar to all of the Hal Leonard decade series books I have ordered in the past that I consider intermediate level piano music.The only negative is the binding that requires a clip to hold the pages open. I remove the pages and put them into three ringed binders as I do with all of the Hal Leonard songbooks which solves that problem nicely.

I good reference and resource for some pretty common Irish folk songs. Probably a good starter book to have on your piano.

I am a choral director and was in desperate need of a repertoire for St. Patrick's Day. This book filled the bill. It had traditional Irish songs as well as lesser known ballads -- a good mix.

Was used for a sing-a-long for St. Patrick's Day, provided great fun for all there. The book contained a number of well-known Irish bar songs, as well as a few I did not know...very good compilation.

Everything was perfect, and it arrived in time for Christmas.

Excellent selection of songs music is not too simple lot of chords but not difficult just the right level for an average player. Bass and treble some have sharps and flats but not difficult a pleasure to play I love it would recommend.
