King Kooker4010081 30502-HP Regulator & SS Hose with Male End , Red

The description and photo are incorrect. The picture is of King Kooker part #34502. The specs conform to this part number with 10 PSI. I received the actual King Kooker part #30502 which has a 5 PSI rating. I expected to receive the the part shown with the 10 PSI rating. So the photo and specs do not match the listed part number of 30502. There is nothing wrong with this part. It is not defective. If you want PSI 5 this will work. If you want PSI 10, you will need to order a different part. Hard to tell how this will work for my application with the 5 PSI. So that is the reason for 3 stars. It may well be a 5 star product as it looks well made and works well as 5 PSI.

Replaced a bad regulator assembly on my 6 burner (5+1) Brinkmann grill. It not only solved my immediate problem of a non-working grill but it also solved some other problems I had been having. For example, it was difficult to light the burners furthest from the tank connection, regardless whether the closer burners we lit or not. Now they all light up on the first try. Searing was impossible before because the grill never got hot enough but now it can get a proper sear on my food.As mentioned by others, this regulator flows a lot more gas than the standard-issue gas grill regulator. I read somewhere that a regular gas grill regulator operates between .5 PSI and .75 PSI and this regulator maxes out at 10 PSI. Because it is adjustable, you can dial it back all the way to 0 so it isn't hard to find a nice setting to suit your needs without melting your grill. There are no markings to let you know what you're set to and the dial can be a bit easy to turn so it might be a good idea to grab a Sharpie and make your own marks.There have been conflicting answers to the length of the hose. The unit I received August 2016 was about 30" or so plus the regulator body and connector. It was very close to the length of the original regulator & hose that it replaced which seemed the same length as the other grills I've had.

The one I received doesn't look like the picture exactly. The wording is different on the regulator and the knob has a 10psi sticker on it. Also the connection from the regulator to the hose is permanent and not threaded like in the picture. The hose is about 30" long and the whole assembly is 35" from end to end. I think they just need to update the picture.It does work well on my grill. My grill wouldn't get over 425 with the original regulator and I got it just over 600 degrees with this one. The knob is a little bit too easy to turn at low settings so I removed the 10psi sticker to get access to the screw to remove the knob. It's still easy to turn with my fingers and less likely to get bumped so I don't think I'll be putting the knob back on.

This is a quality braided LP hose and regulator, especially at this price. No leaks and easy hook-up to my Lynx grill and existing 40 pound gas tank.Some further notes;: 1. The adjustable regulator is capable of passing 10x the gas pressure as the stock regulator that comes with your grill. Don't overdo it or your grill will start glowing like Chernobyl.2. Use light machine oil on the 3/8" male flare end that the female flare end on this hose connects to. No pipe dope or Teflon tape on flare fittings! 3. This hose has a braided stainless steel exterior. That makes it resistant to cuts and kinking. It's NOT heat or bullet proof as it's interior is a vinyl tube-route and use accordingly.

Great product - nice flow and easy to use...But IT'S NOT FOR A GRILL!!!!Okay confession time... I bought this for my grill. Nearly blew myself up because this flows gas MUCH faster than a grill regulator (never knew that!!). It sat in a drawer for a while, and now it's working beautifully on an outdoor fire pit.

It works and it turned out to be okay, but the info in the listing stated that it was rated at 410 PSI and I thought that meant that the regulator had that adjustment capability. I don't know what the 410 psi means, but the the regulator dial says 10 psi, so I think the information in the listing is deceptive. I don't consider 10 psi to be a high pressure regulator, since I already had purchased two 20 psi regulators, which did not even claim to be "high pressure." I thought based on the description, that I was buying a higher pressure one than that. As it turned out, one of my burners did not need as much pressure as the other two, so I kept the hose and regulator, instead of sending it back because I did not want to wait for another one to be shipped to me. The reason I only gave it 1 star, even though it works fine, is that I don't like people lying about their products, or being sneaky with their advertising.

No more pitiful flame on my grill, but be warned, this thing can deliver enough propane to melt the grill. Discretion and monitoring is required. I realize that this thing is not intended for a grill, but in low temperatures it has the ability to deliver enough propane to get the job done.

This is an excellent value in a high pressure regulator and hose for propane use.
