The North Carolina Birding Trail: Piedmont Trail Guide
J**K
This is an excellant guide to birding and natural areas between US 77 and US 95 in NC .
This book is part of a three volume set describing the extensive birding opportunities in N.Carolina. It is well organized and easy to use it is spiral bound to lay flat, has a built in book mark and each site is located with maps and GPS coordinates. Of course birds of interest are listed and when and where you are most likely to see them, but there are also brief comments on wildflowers, waterfalls and other nearby points of interests . The books are a bit dated as they were published in 2008, but still useful to the ecotourist.

Only few new copies available
Glad I got copies of all three regions now. As there are very few new copies available to purchase any where.

Wonderful Series!
This is a wonderful series. Great tips and the best hot spots to bird in the state in an organized and easy to read format. A must have for any Carolina birder or anyone planning an extended visit. Wish every state had this.
