SanDiskExtreme PRO 2 TB M.2 NVMe 3D SSD, Black

I had great hopes for this NVME SSD but was ultimately disappointed. It installed easily and I was able to clone my Windows 10 system from my SATA SSD in around 25 minutes. Tests of the performance of this SSD showed good sequential I/O, so it is great for users wanting to transfer large files. However, I am using it as a boot/system disk and that requires good random I/O performance. It's 4KB random read-write performance is no better than my Samsung 860 EVO SATA SSD and Windows boot times were almost identical. I upgraded to a Samsung 970 Pro NVME SSD and the random I/O performance improved dramatically.I have sent this SSD back to Amazon for a refund. It is not a terrible SSD but there are better out there.

The Sandisk NVME drive is based on the same design as the WD NVME Black drives but has different firmware.Bought for £55 and was a decent price for a well known brand of NVME with 500GB capacity.Installed it in a Sabrent NVME enclosure (Sabrent USB 3.2 Tool-Free Enclosure for NVMe PCIe M Key M.2 SSD [SILVER] EC-TFNE). The Sandisk NVME drive is not being used to its full potential as it is reaching near to the maximum transfer speeds over USB 3.2 (1250MB/s) so at around 1000MB/s on this MNVE drive/enclosure combination it is still plenty fast for an external backup drive.

As titled. Got this on the cheap from Amazon Warehouse as the box had been opened/damaged, but the product was unused / fine (checked it's turn on/run time when I installed it).It's been legendary. I was only going from a normal SATA SSD to this, but the sheer amount of space this gives you for the amount of little space it takes up is literally futuristic.

Don't be fooled.I tested this hard drive (SanDisk SDSSDXPM2-1T00-G25 Extreme PRO 1 TB M.2 NVMe 3D SSD, Black) for few days and was getting an "OK" performance so decided to test to properly. After the cache is exhausted the write speeds drop down dramatically to to around 340 MB/s and lower. My old regular SATA SSD in my laptop has higher consistent write speeds of around 480 MB/s. If you are looking to buy an SSD just buy a regular SATA SSD I'll be returning this one.

I bought this to upgrade my HP Envy x360 15" cp0xxx, which came with only 128GB m.2 ssd as the main HDD. This one is blazing fast compared to the original m.2 ssd, which I did not realise the NVME will fit to the same socket until recently. I am so glad for the purchase as I see the real improvement on both speed and capacity!
