Working great
I am using this camera in a very low service area. Often only 1 or 2 bars. I found that if you want it to transmit in this environment, you have to chose the transmit at every detection option. If you go on a transmit schedule, and there is no signal at that exact moment, it will just store the pic and it could be days before you get lucky and have signal when it tries to transmit. This really sucks down the AA batteries. At this setting they will only last me about 3-5 days. I bought an adapter cord and hooked up to a large 12V external battery. There were no instructions, but I figured I shouldn't put AA's in and use the external at the same time. I think that's the problem one of the other reviewers is having. It confuses the camera. Just empty the internal battery tray and put it back in empty. The camera is working great now, but the resolution of the pics it transmits is not great. You need to place this camera a bit closer to your subjects than you would with non-cellular game cams. Its been a 2 month learning curve but I think it is all lined out now. Can't beat the price, even with the external battery option. I can't speak to the long term performance, but will update if it fails in the future.

I use it to watch my boat!!
I set it up At the lake in front of my dock just to keep an eye on my boat. The cell service is free and it texts pictures right to my phone (for FREE) its only pics no vid but that's good enough for me especially since the cell service is FREE!!!!The pics are compressed that are emailed so they're not super high quality but it also stores them on the flash drive and those ones are extremely high quality. It actually caught a balled eagle grabbing a fish out of the water behind my boat.I would prefer the trigger to be a little quicker and would like video capabilities as well but for the money its a great little camera

2020:They deleted my account. (2019):Misses many photos - poor programming
Jan 2020 update : spypoint deleted my account . I bought the camera and free photos each month were advertised - if more quantity than the free photos were desired they offered “ monthly plans” for “ additional “ photos . Be advised I did not purchase “additional plans” and they deleted my account .NOW NO MORE FREE PHOTOS- per their advertised offer.Be aware - unless you buy their monthly plan they may delete your account to . $10/ month x 5 years is $600- see what they’re after...Plus it’s a poor camera - range Is very poor and so is shutter speed options .( 2019 review) :Poor camera for security . Headlights trigger photo ( you have a photo of headlights ) then minimum 5 second delay before next shot = it totally misses cars driving by ( unless a car pulls over and sits for 10 seconds or longer under the camera then moves ).I have driven by the camera several times and it misses my truck . I walked under camera and it did one photo, but failed to pick me up when I turned around and walked back under it ( so even as a trail camera it seems to miss half the time ).I have changed and tried settings : fast vs optimal trigger speed, 2 shot sequence, instant vs 10 sec delay and still camera misses me walking under it . When I stop my truck under it and get out it does get the truck- eventually. This camera would be much better if programmed for a “ 20 shot sequence with .5 seconds between each shot,” but as it is now you’ll be lucky to get ANYTHING at night EXCEPT a picture of the headlights on the ground , then car goes by ( but camera is not taking another picture for at least 5 seconds ).Yes, it advertised as a trail camera and deer don’t use flashlights, but even in the day as I walked slow by it several times it only shot me once.I do not recommend this camera .

Really Cool Cellular camera at great price and value.
I am in final stages of testing this camera but so far , I am really impressed. This is just the coolest small cellular camera, great photo quality ( currently set on highest quality) and for the low price this unit is an amazing value. I have purchased and successfully run Spartan Go Cams in the past but for this time was looking for a bargain and this camera fits the bill. It's program functions through SpyPoint app are great and while not as advanced as Spartan are all I need for a security camera. Some reviews on this camera stated its a cheap looking and you felt like opening the camera access door would snap it right off,. I disagree. It has a very compact design, the door latch is tight but the unit is very well built . Only issue I have so far involves the Sb-300 security box, very difficult to get this unit in and out of the box with antenna support clip installed. However the coverage Is still good, minor interference if at all. Once I complete coverage trials on location I plan to modify box for more easy fit and add a solar panel as the batteries run fine on batch data dump schedule options but not on instantaneous download. So to keep the photo quality set high and have immediate photo viewing and download , you need an external power source i.e. Solar panel or direct line power.

So Far So Good...
So far so good.Installation and set up was quick and easy. Unit was up an running, transferring pics in minutes (took about 15 minutes to get everything set up, running, and transmitting). Once you download the app to your phone you can select between 3 different plans for transmission of images. You can pay monthly or annually. Once your account is set up through Spypoint, you can go to their website and view any pictures that your camera took, as these are the same pics that were sent to your cell phone. Completely eliminates the need to go to your camera to retrieve a SD card. You can even view the status of the camera (signal strength, battery strength, weather, time, date, etc..). Very pleased thus far with my purchase.
