Bye to 9 volt batteries every couple months
Used this to power two garage door opener key pads. Compact and well designed. Hopefully lasts.

Good for guitar pedals
I add these to my guitar amps so that I have 9v pedal power at the amp. Be careful.

Loud squeal for audio applicantions
Bought this to power 9v guitar pedal. First one created a loud squeal. I though it may be defective so I ordered a second one. Second one has same issue. Works fine for the leds but this is certainly not quality enough for audio applications.

Output is NOT completely isolated from the input..
Beware using this to power meters or any other equipment that needs a fully isolated power supply. There is some path across the primary and secondary of these that causes some devices to behave erratically. I can measure about 1.7 megaohms from the DC output ground to the AC inputs. If you measure between the AC line and DC output of any switch mode supply for consumer electronics, there is infinite resistance (or at least greater than 50 megaohms, which is the limit that my Fluke can measure. I had been going around in circles trying to determine the problem with a digital panel meter I have and have come to the conclusion that it is this power supply that is the problem.

4 amps? More like 1.5 amps.
I bought this supply because it was supposed to be a 9 volt, 4 amp, 36 watt power supply. Putting this thing on a 2 amp load causes the LED to flash on and off while something clicks on and off about once per second. This is great for guitar effects pedals, but pretty much useless for anything else.

Works perfectly
Bought this to power a preamp on a diy guitar amp. Works great. My only complaint is the terminals are a little small.

Dangerous will not buy again... Unless
I almost got electrocuted...The device has no holes to mount with screws. This device doesn't have an option to buy a plastic box to contain just in case of a short .I purchased 2 just in case one did not work. But yes both did work. I wrapped in electrical tape and it still short it out luckily I purchased too to replace the one that exploded while it got shorted out ....I strongly do not recommend. No holes to permanently suspend or no plastic project box dedicated for this device.... WARNING VERY DANGEROUS DO NOT BUY
