Great bike and customer service
Ordered this bike and assumed ourselves. It’s a great bike but losing a star because apparently it’s very important to have your bike assembled by a professional. There’s more to it than just putting some screws in. There’s a lot of adjustments that need to be made that I was unaware of. But I digress, tue bike came and the front rim was bent. Called Schwinn customer service and they were extremely helpful. Asked if I wanted to take to a local bike shop to have the wheel trued and submit for reimbursement or if I wanted them to send a new rim. I chose to take to a local shop. The shop said it was too bent to tru it. I let Schwinn know and they immediately sent me a new rim. Had the bike shop change it out for me and do all tue other adjustments needed and the bike is perfect. Love it.

Very average
It’s an average bike…I expected more from Schwinn so I’m disappointed ~ the quality is a little flimsy, so guessing it probably won’t last long. Also the back fender (other reviews mentioned) was scratched but not dented.

Very Sturdy Bike
This is definitely a very sturdy bike. If you are looking for a feather weight bike, this is not the one for you. The bike is packaged very securely with an appropriate amount of protective foam/cardboard/plastic. The box is clearly labeled that there is a bike inside, so take that into consideration when tracking your delivery. Installation involves attaching the seat & seat bar, handle bars, front wheel, pedals and front fender. You will need several tools, no tools are included with the purchase. It took me a little while to assemble the bike, as it was my first time ever doing something like this, but between the written instructions and the on-line video, I was able to figure it out. One small glitch, the front fender had a dent in it (it appears to have happened at the factory, as there was no evidence of the shipping box being damaged). I called the 1-800 number, gave the model # etc. and had a helpful conversation with customer service - 2 days later a new fender arrived. Overall, very pleased with my purchase and that it was an American company that I purchased from.

Detailed Packing!
I have to admit that after reading a few reviews concerning the amount of damage some these bikes sustained during shipping, I thought about not making the purchase. I thought surely these negative reviews must be a small sampling, so I took a chance (mainly because of the GREAT price) and I’m glad I did! I received the bike in 4 days and in perfect condition. The great care that as given in packaging this bike was exceptional! Not a dent and not a scratch! It actually took a little time getting this bike unpacked, that’s how secure the packaging was. I had this beautiful Schwinn put together in less than 20 minutes. This is a birthday present for my wife, and I have no doubt that she’s going to love it!

Sturdy cruiser with good styling
Bought this for my daughter - she loves it! Color is cute, it's very comfortable, and it rides / shifts smoothly.A few notes:- The box specifically says not to transport on the side, but on my package the side of the box was worn through on the derailleur side, including scuffs on the derailleur itself but no mechanical damage (thank goodness). If you get one of these, that's the first thing I would check.- the paint layer is very thin and scratches easily, even from assembly itself. Leaning the bike even casually against anything (like a bike rack) will likely scratch it. For a beach cruiser, this introduces the risk of rusting.- there are no specified torque settings for the handlebar stem and other nuts - that would be helpful to make sure you're not over-tightening- it comes with no tools, so you will need some wrenches and larger hex wrenches (1/2 inch I think?)But for the price, and especially given the VERY high demand for bikes during COVID-19, we are very happy overall, minus 1 star for the damage to the box and the assembly quirks / paint.

Love the bike but packaging caused damage.
I love the bike. Love the color, only 1 speed. It's perfect for me to toodle around town.HOWEVER... It was the WORST packaging! The box was arrived split open, dents to front fender & major scratch on the frame. The damage is cosmetic & doesn't affect how the bike rides. But it's SO disappointing to get it damaged when brand new. This is the 2nd of this bike I ordered. The 1st was lost is transit (I wouldn't be surprised packaging fell apart & parts fell out). I'm keeping it though as I'm afraid of returning because the 3rd might be in worse shape or lost like the first. I think I should get a partial discount/refund that it arrived damaged & for the headache of having to go through the reorder.

Smooth Ride
First, it came well packed and no damage that I could see. I hired a mechanic to assemble it, as I don't have the patience or strength to do it myself. The only issue is that the seat keeps slipping down even after he tightened it twice. Will consider other options to fix that, but all in all, a very smooth ride. Also, I noticed in one review that they said that their pedals weren't labeled Left or Right. Mine were. After riding it a few times, I do notice that on sharp turns that the fender in front appears to have a "rubbing sound," which disappears if I apply the brakes gently a couple of times during motion. Odd...

Not for beginners to assemble
The bike looks and feels great. The problem is in the assembly. For people without previous bike repair or setup knowledge, this will be difficult. You will also need appropriate wrenches and Allan keys, which are not provided for the 7 speed bike. Some of the instructions are unclear as every possible bike arrangement is given as opposed to just the ones applicable to this model. Steps are missing, eg disconnecting the brake cable before installing the front wheel. However, all of that is manageable with the right tools and patience. This bike fell flat for us because the freehub assembly on the bike does not spin freely. You can barely spin it by hand when you remove the back wheel. This causes the derailleur to jump forward when you stop pedalling or pedal in reverse, and the chain to jump off. It took me a lot of fiddling with the derailleur and YouTube videos to diagnose the problem. Learned a lot in the process though! However, now we have a beautiful bike that cannot be ridden and we are debating if it is easier to take it to a local repair shop or deal with a return through Amazon…

Low quality basic bike with issues
You get what you pay for. In this case, the price was low and we did not get much. We are accustomed to riding "made in North America" quality mountain bikes that cost up to several thousand dollars. But my wife wanted a comfortable cruiser, so we bought this. The bike arrived damaged; the worst damage is to the rear fender, which is badly smashed and distorted to the point where the wheel would not turn. No fixing that.Assembly was difficult, with not much help from the manual. One of the brake position adjustment screws for the front wheel will not tighten - bad threads or?? - so the brakes drag. Will keep on looking for a fix for that.Update - fixed the front brake issue. Threads in the bike frame for one bolt that holds the brake pad needed work. That issue caused another problem - a bent pin that locks the brake pad into position. Now repaired and working. My wife seems happy with the bike, other than that it needs a new rear fender. We have no source for that, and it's not worth the trouble to ship the bike back.

Damaged
Beautiful bike bought for my wife and thought it was quite well packaged, except when pulled from the box - you can see the paint is damaged/stained by something and will not wipe/wash off.I contacted Schwinn in California prior to the purchase for some other questions, with no response to date.It seems they also don't respond to posted reviews on Amazon either.I expected far more from the company with this name and now don't expect any more. The bike has yet to be ridden and I may need to update if anything else is noticed to be wrong.

Nice.
We bought from Amazon Warehouse- as used, very good condition. I dare you to find anything wrong with the bike. It was clearly never unpacked, never mind used. Perfect condition. But . . . worst instructions ever (seriously) and not even a YouTube video on how to put together. I just gave up, and thought back- if I was a 13 or 14 year old kid, how would I put it together. Worked like a charm and I got it together in 30 minutes. Tuning of gears and brakes took a lot longer. The lack of even basic instructions is unacceptable. The bike looks great, and works as expected. The fenders are a bit hard to get properly aligned, but we are happy with them (we bought this Mikko [Woman's version] and a Huron).

Not a Bad Bike for the $
Overall... I am Happy with My Purchase. The Package arrived Safely and Well Packaged (it arrives partially assembled). The Assembly Book/Instruction Manual is not written too well.Although if you can "Swing" a Wrench and "Twist" a Screw Driver You can pretty much put this together without a Manual. I used both Metric as well as Standard Wrench Sizes. You also need a Larger Sized (Size Unknown) Allen Wrench for the Handle Bar Assembly and Adjustment. The Bike itself is a Solid Quality Schwinn Product. It is "Single Speed" so you need to really "Get on it" to get up any Incline.I purchased this for My Wife... She is "Happy"... So I am "Happy"...
