Pros:--Just as fast (not faster) than my Sony XQD/SD reader. Copied 25GB of photos in 3:40 to an external HDD and in 1:30 to an internal SSD.--Seems to work just fine!--PortableCons--USB-C cable is very short. This reader would work fine if you're plugging it into a laptop, where you don't necessarily WANT a long cord to deal with, but for use on a desktop, without an extension of some kind, is very silly. See photo. It's about 3" long, and doesn't even really hang below the back of my iMac, so its difficult to use. It shows the cable length in the photo, but sometimes product photos show shortened cable lengths when they are actually longer. This one didn't lie! The cable length is really the only thing I don't like about it, but if you're looking for a card reader with a short cable, this would be the one for you.--Cable isn't interchangeable for a different/longer cable.

I normally don't write poor reviews and I'm normally happy with all my purchases mainly because I do an extensive amount of research before purchasing an item. This item is small and compact and would be ideal but unfortunately it was defective from day one. It would randomly eject, then read, then eject my XQD card while never being unplugged from my laptop or even touched which you all know can easily corrupt and erase all of your files rendering all of your hard work lost. I should have returned this item day one but stuck it out and then issue continued to get worse until yesterday it completely stopped working and I can no longer get my images from my card. It shows the green light like it is functioning but the device does not show up on my desktop. I have message the seller because they back this item with a "2 year warranty" and I should get a replacement due to this defective item. They haven't contacted me yet but if they do I will amend this review and commend them for good service. If not I will also amend this review and inform potential buyers of what my experience has been. My hope is that I can erase this review and commend the company for being trustworthy but only time will tell.

These grips work great! It is a common complaint however that the shoulder buttons don't register sometimes when pressed. This is easily mitigated by simply pressing in the CENTER of the button or the INSIDE EDGE. The only time I've had it not register is when I pressed it on the outside edge, which makes sense when you look at the way the button is inserted in the shell. This may be a turn off for some people, but it is hardly an issue for me, and there is nothing better that is available currently.Also for the "wiggling joycon" issue that the Surge brand grips seems to create, it is non-existent here. This may be because the controller simply drops in and is held in place by friction, and it works great. The Surge grips have to lock your joycon in place, which may create stress on the joycon causing the rail to become loose.All in all, great product and great price. 5 stars in my book.

This kit is a life saver! My surface pro does not support to read regular SD card, and this adapter adds the capability to access the SD and XQD card on top of the USB3.0 connection. I was able to change the operating system by using this adapter - load the OS loader to SD card, and keyboard/mouse is connected to the USB port.

this card reader came in the mail within three days with free shipping, and it came well packaged. The card reader has slots for XQD and Micro SD cards, and it was easy to use. I plugged it in the USB port of my Macbook, slid in the memory card from my camera, and voila, I had all the photos. I used to have to spend time downloading the photos to my old computer because that was where the program was for my Nikon, and then I would have to spend time with an addition step to get the photos off my old computer to back them up, send to social media or whatever. I gave up using that old Windows computer some time ago because I love the simplicity of my lightweight Macbook

Used for xqd card, works fine. Did a quick write and read speed test, not up to the card speed rating, not sure if it is because of the card or not. Didn't use the SD or additional usb slot, assume it will work

Did the trick for a while but the XQD slot stopped working. Now I have to use this and another adapter for the XQD which is just stupid. It’s a bargain compared to a legit one but didn’t last.

This is a cost-effective card reader for the D850 owner. Having slots for both the XQD and SD cards is really handy.
