Hudson's Bay Company Adventures: Tales of Canada's Fur Traders (Amazing Stories)

This book is abridged from the original which has left me wondering are all Kindle versions of books abridged? If so why and whatare we paying for? This book in original format has more information and this version was a little hard to follow because it was not complete. Kindle books are quick to read so I guess they are all shorter. Must be a hell of a job changing them all.

Very interesting story of northern lands that were to become Canada. Over 200 years of history and personalities covered in a readable summary of events. Did not know that the founders of the HBC concept were French who found their support in England. Many turbulent years of history and English/French conflict reviewed. There is little in the book telling what the indigenous people and suppliers of the furs may have experienced or thought.
