The synopsis provided by the author doesn’t leave much to be added. Although, the title does suggest the wife has an affair with an “EX”. The main characters are:Robert – married to DanaDana – who will cheat on Robert with DeanDean – Robert’s ex-employee who will be the lust interest of DanaLaney – Robert’s secretary, and who was also involved with Dean well prior to Dana’s affair. It was a messy breakup.Dana’s cheating on Robert soon hits the rumor mill of this small town. At first, Robert does not believe the rumors, even when they are confirmed by Laney, who saw Dana & Dean kissing. Robert later catches them in the act and confronts both Dana & Dean. The author utilizes the “you work too much” excuse and Dana says she has sexual needs Robert alone cannot provide, thus in enters Dean. The book is not really hard to figure out. Robert wants to save his marriage, and does so by essentially agreeing to allow Dana to do whatever she wants to do with whomever she wants to do it with.The story is thin, very little character development etc… the book is fine if you buy these types of books only for the sex, but even those scenes are not well described, they seem rushed. As Hotwife books go, there was no angst, no trepidation coming from Richard, as to where his wife is and what she could be doing. There are several grammar and spelling errors in the book. Robert’s name is changed to “Robby” towards the end of the book and is explained by Dana. But, Robert is also referred to as “Roger”, with there being no explanation. Just sloppy.The title of the book suggest there is an (EX) involved in some way, but one never comes forward. There is no indication Dana & Dean ever had something going before they hookup in the beginning of the book. Also, the book is listed as being 126 pages or 2 hours and 20 minutes, which I doubt. In my opinion the book read way too fast to be 126 pages.Sorry, but not much here to like. Subpar story in a genre where there are many talented authors. One side note is the fact this author has a hundred or so other books out there. It might be unfair to judge her total work on this one book. I will eventually read another one, but just not any time soon.
