🔧 Sand Like a Pro with Sungold!
The Sungold Abrasives 22-45120 is a 120 grit, 10-yard roll of PSA 'sticky back' sandpaper designed for a variety of materials including wood, metal, and plastic. Its advanced stearated silicon carbide grain minimizes loading, while the strong C-weight paper backing ensures durability and flexibility. The waterproof resin bond keeps the grain intact, making it ideal for both hand sanding and use with quarter sheet sanders.

it works
long story short, the abrasive sode works very well. I am using it to sharpen kitchen knives, Japanese, it cuts very cleanly with very minimal burr, almost none. But the adhesive side, it sticks very nicely but leaves horrible residue, and the paper shreds and forces me to do more labor of removing them. So functionality wise excellent product, but on convenience side not so much.

Adhesive Back Not Stated
This seems to be a good product, however, unless I have missed it, NO WHERE in the product description does it state that this is adhesive backed paper. I don't like adhesive backed paper because it tears up the sanding pads. I would not have purchased this paper if the product description included this fact.

Good Paper-Works Fine
I have dispenser that I load up with 120, 220, 320 and 400 paper. It's designed to hold this size spool and paper width. The paper is of good quality and if you get enough of it, even different grits from the same company, you get free shipping. I got a spool of 120 and 220 in this order and they both seem good. I use it on my 1/4 sheet sander and for hand sanding both flat work and on the lathe. The PSA backing isn't too sticky which I like. The only criticism I have is they need to put an elastic band around the roll so it doesn't loosen up and unravel in shipping. I had to to re-roll it to tighten it up to put it in my dispenser. Not a big deal- just a pain.

Quite a Bit Less Expensive
This paper is about half the price of the Porter Cable self stick sand paper, but it also only lasts about half as long. I do like that the adhesive is not so sticky that it tears apart the pad on the sander like the Porter Cable paper does. The product description says "Strong C-weight paper backing with latex impregnated paper for strong and flexible backing abrasives will not come off when folded over", and the part about the grit staying on when you fold the paper is very true, but just sanding the edges of a few boards, the backing paper tore right through, where the paper I normally use does not. I am still withholding final judgement until I have gone through a few more sheets, but my initial impression is that this is not a commercial grade sand paper at all. I had the best luck with Gator Grit, but it is not available any more.

Efficient and Effective
I bought several roles in different grits, and I use them all the time to sharpen tools on the bench, float flat surfaces, sand different projects that lend themselves to hand-sanding on a flat surface, etc. I love 'em.

was not what I expected
Backing is somewhat adhesive and tacky. Not what I was expecting.
