You love Greek Mythology? Then you will love Titan series
(Reread Review)This review may contain some vague spoilers, not detailed plots, but still spoilers.Titan series is a Covenant spin of series, both based in Greek Mythology, and The Return is the beginning of that incredible story. Titan follows the other main character on the Covenant series…the one that didn’t get the happy ending, the one that sacrificed everything, my favorite character of this world, the Apollyon that was never meant to be born, the problematic, issues boy, the bad boy addicted to power, but also the incredible complex and funny and d*mn swoon worthy Seth, no last name (actually we know his last name on this book). At the start of this book, we are set one year after the events at the end of Sentinel, and the Gods are now among their offspring again, and they are cleaning up the mess after everything that happened with Ares, or at least they are sending someone to do the dirty work. Want to guess who that is? Yes, of course, its Seth.My baby doesn’t deserve everything that has happened to him, and everything that will still happen. Yes, he did some big mistakes, some unforgivable things but he isn’t evil, and he struggles with what he did and the beast inside him craving eather like a daimon and no one blames him more then himself. This story sets of when Apollo, the God commanding the strings of the deal on Seth’s head, orders him to go search for a mysterious person. That person is Josie, a college student, and you would think why would Apollo sent the Apollyon to guard and bring to the University Covenant e mortal girl? Well she is not 100% human, she is a demigod! And not only a demigod she is the daughter of freaking Apollo!!!! Looks like when Seth was first created the Gods developed a plan B situation to contain the God Killer and that involved creating demigods. These demigods have their powers locked up and have no idea of who they are. What the Gods weren’t expecting was that they had to use that plan B not to contain the God Killer but the Titan problem that was created after Perses escape at the end of Sentinel. She and Seth don’t start great, we all know how much of an *ss Seth can be and Josie doesn’t take any of his cr*p. But as they travel to the University (after Seth doing a not so good job at telling Josie everything about the Greek Gods) they form a bond as they travel, with some major incidents that leave Josie with all kind of baggage. Josie its new to all of this and she tries to keep strong but like Seth says she is so mortal sometimes she is not used to that life, but she might not be physical strong but she is determined, stubborn and strong in her own way.I love seeing the relationship between Seth and Josie grow, she sees him with a clean slate without everything in his past and even if she eventually discovers what happened she seems him for what he is, and she is the first to say he is not just the Apollyon he is Seth. And since this is dual POV you also see Seth starting to really care for someone, besides himself, for the first time and its so sweet seeing him incapable of staying away from Josie.Deacon, Luke, Marcus, Solos, Laadan and Alexander are still present some more then others. Deacon and Luke are like the welcoming team, they embrace Josie in the gang and make her feel welcome Luke also helps her train at some point, because Josie is determined to not be a weakness and I love her for that!Another major thing going on in this book and this series is the repercussions of the Breed order being over, not all Pures are happy about that and there are Halfs that want revenge because some really bad things start to happen and it’s so revolting to see this behavior in the Pures because in a way it’s not much different from some people in the real world and it just gets me so angry!!!!We get introduced to a new Titan I this book, Hyperion and he is here to cause big troubles. But we know that the others are not going to be less dangerous…. We also have other problem in this book, the shades, with so much running out of the Underworld, that it makes you wonder what is Hades doing!I do have to confess something, and since this is not my first read, I can say this. I love Covenant….but I love Titan more! And its because, well obviously, Seth and his awesomeness and *ssholness but Jennifer steps up in this series they way she writes this story it just gets me so addicted that even being a slow reader I reread this book in little more than a day and that is impressive for me, like I said slow reader here.If you are a fan of Greek Mythology, awesome action-packed stories, amazing characters, determined and fierce main character, and j*rk, but also sweet bad boy hero, this book, and series is for you!

very good
I am surprised how much I really enjoyed this book. Such an easy read. I completed if in just a day. It flowed so easily. I actually enjoyed it more than any of the books in the covenant series. The character Seth always entertained me from that series. I am glad that they did a spin-off series for him. I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the series and see how the story develops. Also when they will bring back other characters from the last series.

Loved Going Back To This World!
I’m not even sure what I want to say about The Return. The Covenant series is one of my all-time favorites, so going into this I had some high expectations, but I also had some trepidation. I mean I wasn’t always Seth’s number one fan, but I was also super excited to get back to this world. I don’t know why I ever worry though when it comes to JLA because I adored The Return from beginning to end. It is the perfect segue back into this beloved world, but it also doesn’t feel like it tries too hard.Seth in The Return is a very different Seth we left off in Sentinel. The past year has changed him. Well, actually, the events of the entire Covenant series and then his life altering decision at the end of Sentinel has changed him. It all led him to where he is today. Basically, Seth grew up. He grew up and took responsibility for his actions and is striving to do the right thing. However, Seth also has some serious self-depreciation issues and he doesn’t think he deserves anything good and yeah he did some crappy stuff but he is atoning for it. It was very interesting getting inside Seth’s head and seeing what makes him tick. Seeing how he reacted to everything and how the events with Alex shaped him was very telling. I feel like the reader finally got to know Seth and I must say I like what is there. And remember this is coming from someone who did not get along with Seth for a good portion of the Covenant series. We had a love hate relationship. Also, another thing worth mentioning… Seth seems to have trouble keeping his shirt on and you know what, that is a beautiful thing. Our heroine is Josie and I must say I loved her. She has the patented JLA wit but she is also different from her other heroines. Josie has no knowledge of this world and is basically thrown into it. Josie is a different kind of strong. She is the kind of strong that shows through in her strength to keep her head up when the entire world changes, her determination to keep training even though everyone around her is much stronger, and the courage to open up to someone who has built up a huge wall. I loved Josie and I loved the character she grew into over the course of the book.Josie and Seth together were hot! This book delivered the swoon! It was sweet and sexy and I just loved them together. They had amazing banter and some of their moments together had me laughing out loud. Seth is still his charmingly hysterical self and I loved watching him deliver line after line. I really appreciated the humor in this one.You know what else is awesome about this book? (Aside from everything). It’s new adult!!! It’s new adult paranormal!!! It’s different and that makes it awesome. Sure I was going to love it because it’s in the Covenant world, but I also love new adult and I love that it is branching into other genres. The Return is a perfect example of that. It is so different from any other new adult book I’ve read. Not just because it’s paranormal but just in the writing style and the story line and just everything about it. There is more to the story than just romance. It’s romance and action and drama and life threatening situations and just a whole bunch of awesome in one book.It was also great to see some of my favorite characters again. Apollo is still his awesome self and he still has the best timing ever. Deacon remains my favorite secondary character because of his adorableness and just because he is Deacon. It was interesting to see how the world has changed since Alex saved the day and to see how those changes are taking root. Plus you know, got some Titans running around now, so there’s that.I am so glad we were given more to this world. I absolutely love this take on Greek mythology and I loved going back to visit. So in short, this is a book you need to read. Whether you are a fan of the Covenant series coming back for more, simply a fan of Greek mythology, a new adult fan, or someone looking for something different in new adult this book is for you. Seth demands to be read and loved.

Action packed beginning to a new series.
Seth is raked with guilt of his past misdeeds and ghastly taking on a new role as serving the gods. His mission protect a bound Demigod who believes she's human. Their mission, escort her to the covenient where she will be protected.I found the book a little predictable in the beginning but my interest grew as I continued to read on.

Titan-astic read
I love this genre of book. There was so much in this story and the cool characters..... drama between Seth and Josie, as well as their romance which was so damn good. The action and suspense was there in the fights and battles between good and evil. I really enjoyed the humour brought into this book as well because funny traits in characters always make the story more real. I also loved there wasn't a lot of angst because that can get a bit old sometimes.I do wish I'd read Half Blood, book 1 of the Covenant Series first though, so I shall be moving onto that series before following up book two of The Titan Series.

The Return of Seth!
I was on a countdown for this book and I often find where I'm anxiously anticipating something it doesn't live up to my expectation. Thankfully, in the case of The Return, it did.I loved how JLA wrapped up Sentinel for Alex & Aiden, but was heartsick for Seth, so this book was the perfect remedy.Seth has undoubtedly been affected by the choices he has made over the course of the last couple of years. The burden weighs heavy on his shoulders. Enter Josie, daughter of Apollo, and things start to get interesting. She shares some physical and personality traits with Alex and Seth is floored at the start. However, as they get to know one another he begins to develop feelings for her, in a way he has never felt before. Seth continues to harbor horrific guilt over Alex, so much so that he often finds it difficult to even say her name. I really felt for the guy. While I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I felt there was a lot less happening in the first half of the book and that is the only reason why I deducted a half point. One of the reasons why I loved the Covenent series so much was Jennifer's ability to seamlessly blend action, adventure and romance. The Return was a little light on the action in the first half, and I would have liked a little more. That said, it didn't dent my enjoyment.I loved the fact that Deacon, Luke, Apollo and Marcus all feature in this book. It was so great to catch up with some of my favorite characters. The writing, as usual, is sublime. An excellent read - for fans of the Covenent series, or as a standalone series. My only problem now is this: I NEED THE NEXT BOOK!!4.5 Stars.
