Mumie (1999) Steelbook (Mummy, the (1999))

I have loved this film since I first watched it back in 1999, I was a little unsure how this would look in 4K given its age but boy was i blown away, the colors POP and the detail is truly stunning, i have seen more modern films that do not look as good as this, the sound is epic and the score is equally as epic.The film speaks for itself and is far better than the Tom Cruise rubbish. This is in my top 10 films in 4K.

I use to watch this as a child when i was 8 years old with my mum and uncle who use to put it on every Saturday. Before you wonder no i wasn't too young to watch it and i didn't get scared😂. I always had a love and interest for ancient Egypt as a child ever since i was taught it in school.I only recently purchased this movie during lockdown and started watching it again and it brought back such lovely memories from my childhood.All i have to say is this movie is a timeless classic. The perfect combination of fantasy, action, comedy and thriller. The actors all done a wonderful job in playing their characters and i couldn’t think of anyone else more suited for the roles they played.

This was my favourite movie as a kid. Now we’re all in Covid-lockdown, decided to watch it again. Forgot just how great this movie is. It’s got action, romance, humour, history, without being too OTT. One of my favourites. The new one with Tom Cruise doesn’t compare!

Is there anything wrong with this film?No.Imagine a beautiful man and a beautiful woman with her beautiful brother fighting a beautiful undead priest trying to resurrect his beautiful lover. And there's scarabs. They're beautiful.

Very good film as always however Amazon seems to make blacks appear very odd in some of their films. I had the same issue with The Matric Reloaded - The blacks appear too black almost reflective? It makes the overall image extremely hard to see and it needs to be remedied in these films.

Too expensive to rent such an old movie. It was in my watchlist as a free movie therefore it was a surprise when I ended up paying for it!

This remains an entertaining romp and a firm family favourite.A lovely blend of humour, wit, action and romance.

I love this movie!!! Best movie to watch on a night in. Brendan Fraser at his finest.Honestly you need to see this movie
