Eco-friendly Plants
The seeds germinated quickly and are growing well in the repurposed howlers I have them in. Some of them got a bit leggy, but that's my fault (seedlings need good light and I didn't think to have a grow light on them right away). As a positive that isn't really discussed anywhere in the comments, I think these are fairly bug proof (*knock on wood*). I had ants get in through a window near these, and instead of burrowing into the soil, they just drowned in the water. That's a massive bonus! I'm curious if they're fungal gnat proof . . . Hopefully I won't have to find out!Compared to other grow-a-plant-in-a-jar options out there, I really like this one. I've already recommended it to several people and plan to buy it again. I think the negative reviews are based on a) not reading that this doesn't come with 3 bottles and b) people who haven't started seedlings before. If you're like me, you can easily repurpose howlers or litre beer bottles, so the bottle thing isn't really an issue (I'm guessing the people who struggle with that don't drink beer or wine?).

A Great Easy Kit!
These herb bottle kits are a great way to start growing your own herbs! They are very easy to set up and very low maintenance, you only need to refill the bottle with water every once in a while. It's also very easy to propagate cuttings with these kits, just insert the cutting into the plug instead of using seeds! They also make a great gift, especially when paired with a bottle of wine!

Disappointed!
This is a cool idea! Kit and contents are attractive and instructions easy to follow. Some seeds sprouted in a few days. When I carefully removed the germination covers, the adhesive pulled the seedlings with them! Needless to say, I’m very disappointed! I sent pics of the bottles to friends and family with a promise to report on the progress and had planned to buy all the other versions. I decided to try again with the remaining seeds. I put a couple of drops of water on the top of the planting medium to remoisten it and planted more seeds but used plastic wrap to cover the tops. I won’t be buying the other kits and recommending them to friends until I see if my modification works.

Cute Little Wine Bottle Herb Garden Kit
I purchased this as a Christmas gift so I do not know how the product performed but it certainly looked like fun. Packaging is attractive but the small box was crunched when packed with other items. I would recommend that Urban Leaf use a more substantial box for mailing. Great idea that makes a nice gift.

Perfect for me! Growing, Gorgeous and Blooming
Started Thai, Purple and Lime Basil's on the window sill on 4.17.2020 and today is 5.29.2020, when I took the most current pictures. Each day I make sure the vases are always filled to the top with water (not obsessively, but at least 3-4 times a day) and alternate positions of the plants as the sunlight moves in the west exposure (live in the Phoenix, AZ area). That is it and so far so great!

Great setup for growing herbs on windowsill. Easy.
Kit came with everything except the bottles. Colored wine bottles work well!

Read carefully
You got me I didn’t read the full description and let the picture deceive! The picture is not what you receive, there are no bottles included. The entire kit is so small and not worth the price. Not giftable at all!

I Don't Know Where I Went Wrong...
I don't know where I went wrong, I even sacrificed by drinking three bottles of wine... I did wait until I was sober to start this project, just so you didn't think this was user error.I follow the directions to a T, and they started sprouting within a week and a half, and then they died-all of them. The only successful part about this project, was the buzz I got off the wine. So, cheers!

Nice gift
Given as a gift with 3 bottles of wine, so that the empty bottles might be usefully recycled. Was well received.

Bottles not included
Love the idea bought as a gift and they loved it but would have been nice if there was an option to purchase bottles

There are no bottles
The pictures and use of the word “kit” in their advertising let me to believe that the bottles were part of the kit. They are not.
