Great customer service and a cool mount for filming. But why is power button covered?
So I accidentally bought the mount for the iPad 2, but I have and iPad air :/ I contacted the seller and he told me to return the mount with a note stating my mistake and they would happily exchange it for the correct one. Thats exactly what I did and they came though!! Yay! I only had to pay for the return shipping, but they didn't charge me for shipping the correct one. I'm okay with that. Now let me tell you about the product. Its very cool and has the mounting spot for a light. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the fact that the power button is covered. Weird. So if i want to turn off, I have to wait for it to shut itself down or pull it out of the mount, doesn't make much sense. Other than that, very cool product. And again, the customer service can't be beat!!

One of the Best iPad Mounts
I just received my mount this morning, sold by HDHat. This is an incredible mount. Easy to use and even easier to add / adjust mount accessories. Really impressed with the thoughtfulness of the design, all buttons and ports are accessible - with the exception of the power button (personally not an issue for me since I rarely use it). UPDATE: There is a way to reach the power button through the front lens hole. I found it while on a shoot, completely by accident. It can be a little tricky to get the iPad out but with a little practice I am sure it won't be an issue. I would recommend adding one more "hole" to push through to extract the iPad but honestly not a show stopper.Great mount - a must have for iPad movie users.

It works, but it's too expensive for what it is.
I guess I don't know what I expected, but it was much cheaper quality than I expected for the price. The threading for the lens system is poor and will likely become stripped with very little use because it is so thin and finagly. The shell itself is one piece of molded cheap plastic -- similar to what you'd find in a toy department. At this price, I wasn't expecting "Pro" -- but I was expecting Prosumer level quality... It's not even close to that. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of other attractive options. I would consider purchasing this at about $35-$40, but I feel ripped off having paid $70. In the end, I have to admit it performed the role it was intended to, but as I mentioned, I was surprised at what I opened - it was not what I expected.

Pretty expensive for what you get
I liked the idea behind the design, but I found it pretty expensive for really just a molded piece of plastic. My iPad 2 does not stay in the mount very well and I would not recommend using it without the extra rubberband they supply. It's actually an oversize plastic "O' ring type thing. I would have thought for the price $99, it could have been made of better quality and been more secure.

Poor Manufacturing Quality
This device is poorly manufactured and does not properly fit in the iPad device. its so loose that the vendor sent a rubber band to hold it in the casing so that it does not fall out when mounted to the tripod. (Really)The wide angle lens assembly is also very fragile and kept coming out of the tracks as other buyers have suggested. I removed the lens and very nearly could not get it back in place as it has no threads on the mounting device. It appears to be simply held in place by tension. I do not recommend this item.If you are serious, I recommend the Tether Tools product. Less expensive and far superior.WU2BLK25 | iPad Utility Mounting Kit from Tether Tools

Too expensive, but works as advertised
For what it is, it works fine. We were going to use this setup as part of a photo booth at our wedding using the 'Photo Booth' app for iPad. At the last minute we purchased Fuji Instax cameras instead. It's a neat piece that serves a niche, but the price was hard to swallow - $70 at time of writing.

Great Deaign/poor execution
I really like the design of the case and found the sliding lens attachment very useful. Unfortunately the threads that accept the lens are extremely flimsy and have already become comprised after one use. I plan on using this case with high school students and there is no way the threads will survive more than three or four lens changes before they become completely ineffective. I hope there is a possible solution, because I really like the overall design. I am planning on returning the item or requesting a replacement for the sliding lens attachment.

easy to get cross threaded
Received on time, but I got the wrong one for my iPad air. Made kind of cheap where the lens screws on, easy to get cross threaded.
