PURlisse Pur-Lip Comfort Daily Lip Nourisher, 0.38 Ounce

I'm on the hunt for a lip conditioner that does more for my lips than a drug store lip balm, which are barriers that prevent lips from chapping for a while but have no lasting effect on lip condition. My allergies to coconut and lanolin narrow the field quite a bit. The oils and butters in Purlisse Daily Lip Nourisher appealed to me, so I gave it a try. This is a lip oil. It is runny. If you squeeze some on your finger to apply to your lips, you will get too much product. Use the applicator on the tube and squeeze just slightly. It glides over lips easily and a little goes a long way.I like the effect on my lips, which are softer after the Nourisher wears off than they were before I applied it. But this is a very glossy oil and it lasts only about 2 hours on lips with no eating or drinking. It's meant to be applied frequently, so that's not necessarily a drawback. If applied over lipstick, it will give the lipstick a high-gloss finish and reduce its wear time. If applied under lipstick, the lipstick won't stick to it much, so you end up with a sheer color. The Nourisher is best used on its own.I would rather not use products containing Ethylhexyl Palmitate because it is derived from palm oil, but there is some question as to the Lip Nourisher's ingredients. The product being sold on Amazon as of this writing has old packaging from a couple of years ago. The packaging changed, but it's not clear to me if the formula also changed. The newer product is labeled "Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango & Shea Butter." I used this product as a nighttime moisturizer for my lip because they were so dry, it softened my lips and overtime reduced the feeling of extreme dryness. I use it now at night and first thing in the morning to keep my lips soft and supple.

So far so good! Only used it 1 night, but it is living up to my needs & expectations so far :) Was looking for an easy to apply, natural ingredient based night treatment and this fit the bill. Always exfoliate my lips with a toothbrush after brushing (just like they suggest) before applying right before bed. Woke up with soft, happy lips. I use Purlisse BB cream everyday, so I was pretty stoked to find this (and at such an affordable price!)

I originally got his product as a free sample from another store and couldn't find it again to purchase more. I was so happy when Amazon started to sell it. I love this lip nourisher. It goes on so smooth and it feels great. I get incredibly chapped lips whenever it gets slightly cold out and this is my go to product. It goes on clear and doesn't have a scent. It has never irritated my skin and it really helps prevent and heal chapped lips. It's pricey but I think it's worth every penny.

i got this initially as a sample from my ipsy box, but loved it and found it on amazon once i used it. it goes on smoothly, adds the perfect moisture.

Good quality is nice for the price. It is not my top of the line favorite but it works better than most drug store lip products.

Didn't work for me at all. I get really bad chapped lips in the winter. I looked around to see what people thought the best remedies were, and found this stuff. I don't know, it might work for other people, bit it didn't help me. I ended up getting a Chap Stick brand that works much better for me.

Got it in my ipsy bag and decided to order it. Like the way it hydrates my lips that have been dried out from extended lip products. I use it mostly at night before bed.
