On seeing these available I remembered how amazingly effective a very similar product had been in resolving a relative's antibiotic-induced colitis.They come in an unsealed box with the capsules in the usual sort of foil backed, clear plastic fronted blister pack. I was surprised by the absence of any enclosed leaflet, but as a food supplement rather than a medication no such leaflet is required and the instructions on the box are adequate.As someone who often travels abroad, sometimes to countries with unsafe water, I reckoned these might be good for helping prevent or resolve travellers' diarrhoea, especially as they contain 2 Lactobacillus strains. On subsequently investigating this it seems that the evidence for much benefit in travellers’ diarrhoea is limited but won’t cause any problem.Expiry date is December 2024 so plenty of time to try and could also take them, as they are intended to be used, for general bowel health and immunity. Particularly in the absence of any health issues, it’s not possible to provide a reliable Amazon Vine review regarding any general benefit within the required 4 weeks.

Most probiotics tend to be around the 5 billion or less mark of active cells. This one contains 20 billion which is very good. 30 capsules for this price is very good value for money. In terms of bacterial species, it contains roughly 50% Lactobacillus (mainly acidophilus and paracasei) and 50% Bifidobacterium (mainly lactis) which is reasonable. However, acidophilus is so commonly used. Paracasei is IMO a better species to use. Also the 2 lactis species are a little underwhelming, and they are hard to get down to the large intestine where they are needed. So I would say the range of bacteria could be improved but overall it is good value for money.
