I was at first hesitant about buying this light kit because of the problem with the Briksmax light kit that I bought earlier. I installed it according to instructions. It short circuited 3 minutes after I switched it on and burned my finger. I have no doubt that had I not turned it off, the batteries which were AA batteries as required would have exploded or caught fire. After reading Brick Loot's biography, I was really impressed. They even returned emails very quickly with answers to my questions. The other company would not return emails at all. I was surprised at how easy it was to install. You didn't have to take apart lots of parts to install the LEDs. They were all installed in Lego bricks. You just took off parts from the car that were going to be replaced by these pieces. Not the Briksmax set which requires large portions to be disassembled to install the LEDs. This light kit really gives the car a deeper dimension. Even the cab was lit up. You can even expand your lighting and add more LEDS to your set. Up to 25 LEDS using batteries or 50 per USB plug. You are limited by your own imagination. You can't do that with a Briksmax set. They use circuit boards that each LED has to be plugged into. It was very time consuming. The plugs were very tiny. If they are not plugged in the right way, the plug or circuit board will break.A magnifying glass would help in that process. There is no option to expand with their light kit. Their circuit board holds only up to 18 LEDs. I am planning to run more lights on this Porsche. Brick Loot has been very helpful in helping me to expand my lighting system. NO MORE FINGER BURNS FOR ME!!
