La Florentine - Traditional Italian Panforte, (2)- 12 oz. Pkgs.

I loved this. Everyone I offered it to loved it. Many said they hated fruitcake, but this Italian chewy version was superb.

Having been to Sienna, Italy, I can assure you this Pan Forte tastes just like the real thing. And if you ever make it to Sienna yourself, be sure to take an empty suitcase and fill it while you're there!

I havent tried it yet but the package was so lovingly prepared with careful paper wrapping and double waffle bags. I know it's going to to taste great! Thank you

It is nice to have this in two packages as a small serving of this goes a long ways. I have been able to serve this to two rounds of company and still have some left from the first package. This is packed with flavor and a complexity of flavors that is enticing. You will not be disappointed.

This cake was a very positive surprise-it had a very nice chewy texture and wonderful flavor. The only problem I discovered is that the paper on the bottom of the cake was difficult to remove before eating. However, moistening it worked well.

I enjoyed Panforte each year my mother-in-law was still with us. Her friends in Italy always sent some for Christmas. After her passing, I lost the annual treat and missed it. This is just like the Panforte I remember from then. Next year I will share it with the children along with memories. This year it was too good and too precious.

Product is appreciably smaller than before!!!Very disappointed. Will not be able to giftthese because the contents feel very hard andnot soft and fresh.

These are packaged in sealed aluminum foil so they have great shelf life. We cut narrow wedges for after dinner snacks, peeling off the outer band of paper. The "paper" underneath is edible.
