I have bought many exercise bikes over the years and this bike was by far the worst. The main issue is the computer monitor that controls all aspects of the bike, including setting the resistance. Trying to increase the resistance was difficult because the change in resistance was so incrementally small with each increase. I also found the resistance started at a point that was way too low. To feel any resistance at all I had to increase it by at least four or five settings. By that point, I was over a third of the way to the highest resistance. Typically, on exercise equipment I have used, I find the highest resistance point to be too difficult to use for any length of time. With this bike however, I rode most of my workout at or near the highest level. I had no where to go once I had reached a point in my conditioning where the highest level was too comfortable. And if that wasn't enough, the monitor kept breaking down. Granted, the company very quickly replaced it when still under warranty, however, when it broke down again a few months later, with only limited use in between, I didn't even bother to replace it. It wasn't worth it. I went back to exclusively using another exercise bike.

Computer completely unreliable
Ugh. The computer/monitor on this bike started failing after I had it for about four months, and now is almost totally undependable. The bike loses resistance before and during rides - I either can't get any resistance initially or, if I'm at a level 8 during a ride, increase to 16 and then try to go back down, the bike completely loses resistance. At the support team's suggestion, I've done a hard reset three times, but the problem never stays fixed for long. The initial reviews on this bike were mostly positive, but now I see time and experience have shown I made a bad decision. So disappointing.

Amazing!
Amazing! I was going back and forth on several bikes and actually got two and sent the other back. I love the computer and the different courses you can choose from. It’s very quite as well! I just charge at night.

Hands-down the best exercise bike under $3K
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW (below) Jan 11, 2016:Several years have passed since my original review, and I have since learned that many components on this Diamondback Fitness bike rusted/eroded. The bolts on the stand, the pedals, even the fly wheel. I've ridden this thing hundreds of hours since I purchased, and operationally, its the best upright I've ever ridden. I train on it for the annual Mt. Washing Hill Climb, and it's served me well. But the rust appeared after, say, the first 9 months, despite faithfully cleaning and wiping it down after every work out.______________________I've used, ones produced by other major manufacturers of fitness equipment. I've been riding exercise bikes for 20+ years, using stationary bikes as an integral part of a training regimen that prepares me for competitive rides such as New Hampshire's annual Mt. Washington Auto Road Hill Climb; I've yet to find anything that rivals the Diamondback Fitness 910Ic studio cycle--its features (incredible module), sturdy construction, and its marriage of the traditional upright stationary with a spinner bike. This crossbred, of sorts, gives the rider all the advantages a spinner offers (the ability to ride out of the saddle, sturdy frame that you can beat the heck out of) while providing all the conveniences you find in a traditional upright (feature-rich module AND magnetic resistance). Add to that a 42 pound flywheel, and you have the smooth ride experience you find on your Sunday bike ride in the country. AND, with the unlikely occurrence of some technical issue requiring a part(s) replacement, Diamondback's customer service is WORLD-CLASS. Someone will talk to you and listen to you and genuinely try to help you.For more, please read customer feedback I provided Diamondback earlier today:Howdy,I am the happy owner of a Diamondback Fitness 910Ic studio cycle, purchased December 20, 2012. Before deciding on the one bike that met all my exercise/training needs, I engaged in research that spanned seven months of testing some two dozen upright exercise bikes and spinners by every major exercise equipment manufacturer until I finally discovered the Diamondback Fitness 910Ic. Five minutes on this extraordinary bike and my seven month quest came to an end. I've spent 50+ hours on the bike thus far, and it has exceeded every expectation in its reliability and performance. The only aspect of this whole experience that was more amazing than the Diamondback Fitness 910Ic itself was the remarkable customer service I received today. I phoned Diamondback's customer service department and was warmly greeted by a customer service representative named RICARDO. Ricardo spent the next 30 minutes answering EVERY technical-related question I had related to the overall mechanics of the bike and its various features; he then explained in detail all service-plan options available to me, providing advice on what plan would best suit my personal needs. Ricardo was patient, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable of all the Diamondback products and related services. I'm 52 years old and this exceptional customer care experience was the best I have ever encountered. Diamondback is very lucky indeed to have someone of Ricardo's caliber on their team.Thank you Diamondback!!
