I have to hand it to Amazon, notwithstanding all the Chinese junk that they peddle, sometimes this is tuly a unique resource to find the most obscure items, and you can get them delivered to your door right away. Think what you will about Jeff Bezos, but he had a vision to made life more convenient for the little people, and he made it happen.My wife asked me to restore a pair of antique crystal table lamps that have been in our family for 75 years. They were in rough shape. The original glass tubes were brittle and cracked, and they fell apart when I disassembled the lamps.This 1" clear acrylic tubing was the perfect substitute. I'm pretty resourceful when it comes to repairing stuff, but I live in a rural area, and had no idea where to buy this material. I found it on Amazon in two minutes.I cleaned and rewired the lamps, replaced the lampshades, and they came out great. Happy wife, happy life.

As it's not stated in the product description I wanted to mention that the pipe I received has a 2" outer diameter. Shipped super quick!Warning: Acrylic is very brittle and cutting or drilling can easily cause cracks or chips. I found that the pipe seems to be extruded acrylic which has internal tensions that make it more susceptible to cracks.Advice: Use a compound miter saw with a blade that has a high tooth count. The best way to drill a hole is to use a slightly dull bit on medium speed with a low power drill. You want the bit to move quickly so it won't catch on the plastic while keeping the force on the tube low. Go slowly and rinse just the drill bit with cold water to ensure you are cutting the plastic and not just melting it. The SCIGRIP 16 acrylic cement works great if a piece does chip off.

I wanted a unique bath room towel rod with diamonds and accomplished the look. Cut 1 inch off (easy with hot knife. No knick or split ), filled with glams, and snapped in place, secured with glue. Rod is sturdy enough to hold towels. Loved the glammed out look so far. Waiting on wall paper now, stage 2 project

I like the tube very much. They arrived when the company s aid they would and are in wonderful shape. They are easy to cut to the size I need.

Exactly as described. If you are looking for unmarred perfection, this is it. The tube was well wrapped in plastic and arrived in a smooth unmarked finish.

Although it isn't that much of an inconvenience I must say that receiving a dirty tube that requires around 15 minutes of scrubbing is a bit unprofessional. For that reason I wouldn't recommend buying this product if you're able to find tubes that meet your needs elsewhere. (Also the ends are a bit rough, and what I mean is that some parts of the outside are chipped while the rest is a bit abrasive as opposed to being smoother. Again, not ideal and would recommend buying your tubes elsewhere.)

It was supposed to be 2.0" OD.What I received was 1.75" OD.Sent back.
