Don't Know Much About the Presidents

I keep a box of books in the car and my granddaughter always reads when we are in the car. This book is great for short rides as she can get a lot of "complete" info in short bursts. She regularly "informs" me of things she's learned.I do wish that the page on Andrew Jackson reflected included that he adopted two Indian children. To state that he was not a friend of the Indians without mentioning the adoptions puts today's social and moral agendas "front and center" without any understanding of history.

I used this book during 2020 presidential race for my 3rd and 5th gr kids. We studied the US election process and presidential duties. This book fits in perfectly to add details about presidents. It makes historical facts live and memorable. I highly recommend this book. I also wish this gets updated regularly as our history changes. The last president here is Barack Obama at the beginning of his first term.

This is a book I bought for my daughter, and she actually found it engaging and interesting enough she wanted to read it...actually honest to goodness wanted to read it. (I initially bought it as supplemental reading for the brief period of time we were home schooling her, so I can quite truthfully say she didn't always want to read the things I picked out). She even read this when we weren't doing homeschool stuff...I found her in her room with her flashlight under her blanket reading this, and she's still spouting off random facts from it. That makes it pretty awesome as far as I'm concerned, because usually, she finds history "soooo boring...."

I have loved studying our presidents for years as I find it very interesting. Since I now have school age grandchildren, I like to share my interest with them and this is a good book for that purpose as it is perfect for kids!

Informative book for my grandkids

This stops with Obama. I personally did not read closely enough to see if it was indeed completely up to date like it claimed. Nevertheless, it will be useful, especially for the earlier presidents.

This book is a lot of fun. I bought it for my 9 year old who was less than enthused when I showed her what I bought. But once she started reading it, I had to make her put it down to go to bed. The last 3 nights she's picked this one first and is rattling off interesting facts about presidents she hadn't even studied up to this point. There are plenty of books with facts on the presidents, but this one is a lighter book with interesting personal and sometimes silly facts about the presidents. It's a great coffee table book for adults also since it's easy to pick it up and read any page.

I have a 12 year old son that I homeschool for 6th grade. I wanted him to learn more about the presidents so I purchased this book. He was inlove with it the second he picked it ip. He loves telling me all the cool facts that most history books dont add. Love, love, love this book. Highly recommend, especially for kids that arent big readers.
