Like new again - Great depth
I purchased this tank after pulling my old Accutronics tank out of my 1981 Princeton Reverb amp and ID'ing the serial number, etc. to insure that I bought the correct tank. I'm not an electrician or even a hobbyist, but I purchased a multimeter first (Klein Tools unit) and lent my hand at determining if the input/output jacks and transducers were bad on the old tank (I saw this on YouTube videos). After monkeying around and getting readings all over the place each time I tried, I said the heck with it and just purchased the new tank. On the advice of my son, I added new RCA cables to the purchase. Glad I did. When I installed the new tank, I plugged into the old cables. Nada. Zip. Muerto. So I plugged it up with the new cables and that sweet little amp pushed tone out comparable to me playing it in Winchester Cathedral! Word of advice, you'll need the cardboard base plate from the old tank so don't throw that away. This replacement comes with an open bottom. Also, as another reviewer wrote earlier, don't pay attention to the color of the input and output jacks on the new tank. Be sure you plug amp input to tank input and amp output to tank output, regardless of the jack colors on the tank. You will see input and output stamped on the side of the tank. PS, this new tank was stamped with both Accutronics and Belton. I give it four stars because I only played through the tank a few times so far. I'll likely revisit the review in a year. PSS I plugged up the old tank with the new cables and it worked! Comparably, to me the new tank has more depth and reverb tone per dial setting than the old tank. I cleaned up the inside of the amp, Armor-all'ed the tank bag and installed the new tank. I put the old tank in storage. Rock on, Garth.

It sounds great... but get the Belton
I should have researched this more but I tend to get stuck in research mode and my therapist said I need to just "go for it" sometimes... anyway, yes this is a great sounding unit - it sounds just like my old Twin Reverb amp I sold years ago and still regret... that's another thing my therapist and I are working on... so, taking a closer look at the unit I was sent, I noticed a tiny "B" stamped into the side and nowhere on it does it say "Accutronics" - well that's odd, I thought... so I got out the google and discovered that Belton (another tank maker name) bought out Accutronics years ago and that they both use the same code numbers and that the Accutronics tanks are only Accutronics in name - they are Belton's. The strange thing is that if you search for the Belton tank of the same ID, it costs quite a bit less - $10 in my case which isn't a ton but considering I paid $36 for the Accutronics (which included "free" shipping - the $10 becomes a significant percentage. Am I going to go through the hassle of returning the Accutronics for the Belton? Possibly... but that's another issue my therapist and I are working on...

Drop-in replacement for '63 Fender Reverb
The Made in USA Accutronics pan in my '63 Fender Reverb reissue was on the fritz, and with some trepidation ordered this replacement, which are now being manufactured in Korea. Now, to be clear, I have no reservations about the quality of Korean goods in general, but whenever a company is sold and the manufacturing is moved overseas, the potential for "cutting corners" is always a possibility.Unlike what is shown in the Amazon listing, the tank I received is not painted black but is plain steel, like the USA original, so that is a good thing. There are a few minor cosmetic differences, most notably the inclusion of red and white input/output jacks instead of plain, uncolored ones, but the transformers, springs, etc. are visually identical to the USA original. After installing the new pan in my Fender (which is super-easy to do: just unscrew the front baffle, unplug two wires and unhitch four suspension springs), I found that the sound was a LOT lusher than the USA original that it replaced. I've heard that different pans from any era will have different characteristics, so this may or may not match everyone's experience, but I found that I had to turn down the Dwell and Level settings a notch or two from what I was accustomed to.The reverb effect was lusher/fuller, but perhaps not as drippy, as the USA version. But this is really splitting hairs; the new production Accutronics tanks are a fine replacement for aging USA-made reverb pans.

Looks good and installs easily, but produces very little reverb in signal.
The reverb unit appears to be made of quality materials. It simply doesn't produce much reverb.I purchased it as a replacement for an old Hot Rod Deluxe. The original unit would absolutely saturate the guitar sound with reverb - until it gave out after 10+ years. This unit looks the same and installs easily, but it doesn't produce nearly the same strength reverb.

Great original Fender Reverb sound and function
Well packed, great sound, correct connections and function. I installed this in a 1977 Silver Face Pro Reverb. Perfect fit, function, and sound. If you need a new tank reverb, be sure you get the correct one. This one works correctly in many vintage Fender amps, but you need to match them up correctly so go to the Accutronics web site and double check.

Excellent
I bought this to replace the crappy, short, 3 spring box that was stock in my 1980 Princeton Reverb ii (that I gutted & rewired into a BF deluxe reverb). The quality is outstanding - nice solid RCA jacks - excellent BF tone.

Great replacement!
Perfect! This replaced the reverb tank in a Lab Series L5. The amp was missing the reverb tank when I got the amp so I don't know what it sounded like before, but it sounded great when I got the tank in the amp. The only goofy thing I had was the input/output cables on my amp were backwards from what was on the tank, but that is probably the amp and not the tank. Great replacement!

Great Spring
Perfect for making ghost noises with a sinewave generator. Didn't use this in an amp like it seems like it's meant for. I did get a small speaker driver wired to the input and a microphone preamp wired to the output, and it sounds legit.
