Rugremedy UK Ltd New Carpet Moth Killer, 500 ml

Have tried several remedies to get rid of moths starting with natural products like cedar blocks and lavender bags all of which were a waste of time so had to resort to something stronger. Most of these chemical spray products are too potent to use in a domestic dwelling .. the smell is awful and if you suffer from any sort of breathing problems or allergies I would certainly not recommend. But this spray was suggested by my brother as he’d had good results with it and I have to say it is brilliant. There is little or no smell and it is extremely effective. Spray all round the skirting especially if you have carpets, leave the windows open and go out for an hour, just to avoid any possible reaction (I have COPD but found no problem with it). I would recommend doing again every 3 months like it says on the bottle as moths are notoriously difficult to eradicate completely unless you get rid of the source ie. carpets

I've been using it for three weeks now, and the pungent smell meant that I had to move the affected rug to a spare room. Grubs are still emerging: problem is that a deep-pile modern carpet is very difficult to drench properly, and the clusters of tiny eggs are of course deposited right at the bottom of the threads which you can only access and spray by painstakingly parting the pile. I will persist but I fear my rug is past redemption now.I note that some users don't find the smell bothering. I found it quite hard to take, and as some have noticed, unpleasant to breathe in. Best to wear one of those paper Covid masks!

This product is fantastic, had a problem last autumn with carpet moths, but didn’t realise what all the little cocoons were, first time in around 30 years of having wool carpets, until we found an eaten spot of carpet, having then googled searched we found out what the cocoons were all about!Having read reviews of this product purchased some straight away, used it following instructions, very easy, sprayed on a warm day so the carpet dried quickly as we have 3 cats. There is a bit of an after smell which only hangs around for a couple of days or so, but certainly worth putting up with, It worked straight away. The only thing we have found (I’m now paranoid about the blighters) is a couple of dead moths.I’m going to reapply now in good time for invasions this year.If you have a problem with moths don’t think twice, invest in this spray is my advice.
