Great product
This product is awesome. I had a new pair of Ariat boots that I was having a problem breaking in. They were too tight in the top.of my feet and ankles. To the extent I could not wear the boots for more than about an hour or two. I used this conditioner and put it on thick, I let it sit for a day and then wore them. They were still a little tight, but afyer about an hour, I could tell they had loosened up. I wore them For About 10 hours that day and they did not hurt my feet. I have now wore them about 4 times since them and can say the boots are now well broke in. It does make the boot a little darker until the conditioner wears off. But they still look really good.

WARNING: Beware of this terrible 'leather conditioner'.
I was so DISAPPOINTED with this product that I had to re-read the reviews to see if I was crazy! This stuff is AWFUL. I don't say that flippantly. This Cedarwood Oil product has all the properties of 90w automotive differential oil: it's sticky, leaves a waxy feel, did NOT make the leather supple and it positively is NOT suitable for furniture or car seats!I used this Cedarwood Oil on a very expensive tan-leather motorcycle jacket. I've used other products on that jacket over the years and in each case was happy with the results. I applied this Cedarwood Oil and... seriously... I suspect I've ruined the jacket. It's been a week since I applied a coating and it's still sticky, is somewhat more ridged, is no longer warm to the touch and frankly it now makes the thick leather look cheap (as though it's a split-grain leather from China!). This WAS a remarkably nice jacket!I'm a business owner. I don't hand-out negative reviews lightly because I realize irresponsible reviews impact someone's ability to make a living. If I thought I'd mis-applied the product or just had a freak experience, I'd keep my mouth shut. But, this Cedarwood Oil was simply... junk. I wouldn't even put it on my work boots (the slightest dust would cake on this stuff! and if I kneeled on a carpet I'd worry about staining it!).If you carefully re-read the Cedarwood Oil reviews here on Amazon, the majority have all the markings of having been professionally done (by a some paid marketing firm). First, there are reviewers who claim to love this product's cedarwood smell. NONSENSE. This product is odorless (as stated in some other negative reviews). Some of these positive reviews claim they put it on their car seat and furniture. NOT A CHANCE! Given the horrible film still remaining on my jacket after a week I'm confident sitting on anything treated with this stuff would stain my clothing. And for those who claim it 'renewed' the leather or made it feel like new... FORGETABOUTIT. It has all the characteristics of having been applied with STP motor oil (well, OK... not really. But imagine STP oil left in the Arabian sun for 6 months and the waxy-sticky-oily feel you'd likely get... then that's what this stuff does). It's really that bad.Just for the record: I applied this Cedarwood Oil Leather Conditioner with a clean link-free rag and wiped off the residue with a fresh clean cotton rag. The next day, because it was essentially still greasy, I got a fresh clean rag and re-wiped gently. I did not over-soak the rag or the leather, nor did I let the oil pool in any way when applying. The jacket was in good condition and clean before I started. Lastly, I've treated numerous leather items over the years with numerous leather conditions and was always happy with the results. This time around I tried this Cedarwood Oil due to the great reviews... what a mistake!

Good product
My husband used this on a very badly rained on and dried out leather seat in his car. He has only worked on a small spot so far, but this product seems to work very well. It doesn't leave residue to get on your clothing and it smells nice. I'd recommend it to condition damaged leather.

It worked okay. It will leave a sticky residue. I use it and let it dry, then use a damp paper towel with a warm water/dawn dish soap mix. Gets rid of the residue and the leather still shines. Just enough dawn for a slight soapy water.

Great Product!
I have used this on old boots, new boots, and an English saddle. It works great on all. It left my saddle slightly grippy without squeaking. It has softened the leather on the new boots and they are breaking in much easier. The old boots look great and are soft as butter. A little bit goes a long way, so it is a good value. A great product.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this product really deserves ...
I would leave zero stars but unfortunately one is the minimum. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this product really deserves it. Try to spot the fake positive reviews for this product that claim that the product has a wonderful smell – “Oh that smell”; bull- this product is completely odorless! No any indication of this being cedarwood oil! Or as one reviewer claims that he treated his couch with this product – I would like to see that picture! This product is horrible for leather; it has consistency and texture of honey - very sticky – it doesn’t get absorbed by leather; all treated items just get sticky! Fortunately, I almost ruined just one pair of my son’s winter boots, but those are Ferragamos for $600! He went outside and everything, I mean everything, from pollen to dirt and to small leaves were on his boots. I was embarrassed for being so stupid mom! My son went to his local cobbler and he was able to save the boots. Even if my review will keep one person from the headache of using this product, it was worth my time.

Outstnding protector and instant shine!
Excellent product for quick immediate shine and / or long-term protection of leather shoe wear and other leather goods. (Check with your manufacturer for each product. This product will also hold every speck of dust that falls on it, so the shine disappears quickly. After it is allowed to soak into the boots and shoes, a regular military grade spit shine is required. A professional shine is strongly recommended, maybe $6-10.) For deep, extended protection and even short-term water resistance, I love this product. Use your fingers and warm up the leather (boots and shoes) with a blow dryer for the best results is what I've found works best. Light coats repeated many times over many days and weeks gives the product time for the leather to absorb deeply.
