Art Therapy for Groups

I bought this book because I was recently starting to do more art therapy groups rather than individual sessions. This book provided a helpful overview of art therapy and various art therapy groups. I appreciated the seemingly endless list of art therapy directives as well. Some of the directives can be modified to suit your group--I also found that some of the group themes or directives sparked ideas for different activities. I have so many pages/sections bookmarked in this. I wish this had been one of the assigned readings for when I was an art therapy/counseling student!

This was a great book, really helped guide me to create art therapy groups at my internship

I am a therapist at a community mental health center and needed some fresh ideas for experiental groups. I now have some great ideas to use in group and also in working with individuals. The photos of the other groups seem dated, but otherwise the book is great.

This revised book is packed full of information for practising Art Therapists. Lots of info and ideas for working with groups giving many ideas from warm up exercises to deeper more expansive exercises. This book is a very useful tool for any art therapist working with groups.

This is a perfect book to use with clients. There are so many suggestions it is almost overwhelming, but in a good way.
