Eye candy for the quilter.

This book was an amazing journey through the history of quilts. The quality of the pictures and descriptions were fantastic. I got a LOT of inspiration from this book and have added several quilts to my to-do list (hello, Burgoyne Surround quilt!)

This book is filled with photos of antique quilts that are exquisite and mindful of the history of this wonderful art form! I am particularly fond of the log cabin quilt on pages 138-139! Absolutely wonderful!!!

This was a gift for a quilter friend who said she loved it (of course, what else can she say, lol!). However, the museum is located very near her Seattle apartment and she was excited to be able to visit she times are better.

An instant classic. Full quilt on left page, details on right, all beautifully photographed. No quilter interested in the history of the craft will want to be without this book for long - though a little more information on the individual quilts might indeed have been useful. (In a separate section in the back, maybe?) It is smaller (and thus more accessible) than some of the coffeetable-sized 'big' catalogues of historic quilts, but equally indispensable. More, please!

Very good, wish it had more quilt pictures and maybe more descriptions

I really like this book. Do not buy it if you are expecting patterns for quilts. Instead, it is a book with photos and descriptions of quilts held in the collection of the International Quilt Museum in Nebraska. Some of the quilts are presented with one photo, others have a main view and some closeups. A great book for a collector.

Beautiful photographs

I was expecting a greater variety of quilts
