Good Purchase
These orchid pots were as advertised. The 3- and 4-inch (diameter) pots were what I needed/wanted. The large pot (5-inch) was/is not needed; however.... The free "Common types of orchids" sheet was informative and nice to have: Concise, and informative.

Perfect for orchids, succulents, or epiphytes
These are great pots if you have plants that don't like getting their feet wet and need extra drainage. I use these for my Phalaenopsis, Dracaenas, and bromeliads. The many drainage slots on the bottom and additional slots on the sides ensure good air flow to promote drying out of the substrate. The clear material is an added bonus. Orchids have green roots which are also able to photosynthesize. That light can penetrate to them is something I could not accomplish in the terra cotta pots I was previously using. Even for plants whose roots do not contain chlorophyll, it's still cool to have a visual way of assessing root growth. Roots don't have to be kept in the dark, they just need not to completely dry out. These are really neat pots and I like that I got an assortment of sizes. The variety was why I chose to purchase this item over other clear, slotted pots.A complaint I'm seeing in other reviews is that the material is 'thin' or 'flimsy'. I don't get that sense at all. They seem fairly sturdy. They are lighter than I'm used to, compared especially to terra cotta. I remedy this by placing a few stones or glass marbles at the bottom. This is especially helpful for bromeliads or any other plants that have a tendency to become top-heavy as they grow.

Good orchid pots
These are good orchid pots. They're clear and fairly sturdy. They have numerous slits and tiered bottoms for excellent drainage. The 5 inch one even has holes in the bottom to compensate for its large size. It's good to know the three sizes aren't just upscaled versions of the same design. I am growing a large Phalaenopsis orchid in the 5" pot and a small phal in the 3". The 5" one is more than adequate for a big phal, and the 3" fits in a coffee mug. Besides the fir bark and LFS moss used for the phals, I have also put peat-based potting soil in these pots for various plants in a pinch.

Pots perfect :D No coordinating trays :(
I like these pots. They're perfect for orchid needs, and attractive. I particularly like the assortment of sizes, since orchids like their roots snug. You never know what you're going to get when you repot an orchid. They might need a larger pot, but they might need the same size or even something smaller. I will buy these again, but I wish they came with coordinating trays. Those are way too expensive, and hard to coordinate the sizes of the trays with the pots in this collection. Plan to collect little crystal trays you can find in thrift stores and put rocks or glass in them to make a humidity tray they can sit on.

Good for what it is
These are ok. They are not stiff but not flimsy like the grocery store orchid pot inserts. I use them in a cashpot so it's fine for what it is. Wish they were more stiff. I wouldn't use it for a heavy plant as they're very light weight.

Great vented pot. No saucer or exterior pot. You be the designer.
3 different sizes in the order. I have a mini Cattleya, purchased. Still new to hobby I didn't repot quickly enough and lost green roots. However, the white dead remained. I carefully reported back into new bark when I realized how dire the situation was. It's still alive and appears to have bits of green roots starting to grow. Live and learn. Also monitoring water requirements.
