Bluetooth Gramophone 2.0

Been trying to pair this speaker...do a rain dance, re-set, re-set, turn off, on....upside down...cheaper devices pair on and of fine...not this one. It's basically a nice looking decoration or large paperweight...which I don't need one.... very disappointed since I had created a space for just this.... and I truly hate to return stuff back..Beware, for true sound in your office stick to Bose and Bang & Olufsen, which I will stick with, they pair whenever you want..this one, nope.Update, Update!!!: After days of pairing since I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning, it finally paired up. Now it pairs up faster than my other devices. Not sure what the bug was but, it looks great, it sounds great and I'll change from one star to 3, would it give it more but I had such a difficult tie paring it that I just can't do give it a 5.

All in all the I was happy with the purchase. I use more for show then listening and certainly has a tinny sound to it as it should. I would give it 5 stars for quality in how it is made.

I just received the gramovox and unpacked... the metal bottom was rusted... still haven’t charged and used yet, but something with this cost shouldn’t arrive rusted.

Built very good and has quality feel to the product. BT range is outstanding, compared to other high end BT speakers. Sound quality is mid range.. but its design is intended for more of an aesthetic appeal.

Gave this to my mother for Christmas and she loves it, and it has pretty great sound quality! It does struggle with loud bass but it's got an amazing look and sound. We’ve used it daily for a year now and we hope it lasts decades!

The oldish look is fine the old gramophone sound is bad

I purchased the Gramovox from their website and wanted to share with the Amazon community.SOUNDThis is not a product for everyone - but people who love design coupled with clean quality audio will inherently fall in love with this the moment they start it up. Keep in mind that this product primarily excels at classical, jazz, some pop and does a pretty good job at some other genres but this does not have any base. I am hoping the next versions will have it but for now I love it as is. Just to give you an idea of artists I listen to on it: Michael Buble, Norah Jones, Andrew Bird, Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, John Mayer, Adele, and Paul Simon. Plenty of others on Spotify & Pandora.DESIGNI have this unit sitting in the lobby of my office entrance and instead of reading some boring magazines or listening to some mundane overhead music - my visitors get to experience amazing sound quality from this device. I personally love design a lot and when we had my interior decorator come in and redo the our office space she recommend this as an accent to the room and once I saw it - I completely agreed. Everyone that comes into the office just raves about how beautiful it looks and asks us where they can get one. I may even do some research and find out a way to possibly give these as gifts to friends but have the wood bases engraved.CONVENIENCEI hate clutter and that means that cables are one of my pet peeves. You pay all this money for a room to look beautiful and then you have these ugly cables hanging around from all the devices you have plugged in around the office - NOT THIS! We charge this up one time and its good for most of the day (if it’s constantly playing) and no cables anywhere! I don’t have to worry about the look of the room with ugly black cables. To top it off - I can go to my phone anytime (which is with me 24/7) and just play something else. I don’t have to plug anything in (the beauty of bluetooth!).Overall the product is amazing and I recommend to everyone visiting my office and will seriously consider this as a gift for some friends for the holidays.

I bought this product a few weeks ago for a Kentucky Derby themed bridal shower that took place outdoors. It worked wonderfully, the sound was the perfect backdrop to the event. Not having to worry about any wires, and being able to carry around or "aim the sound" worked great.Range:I went in and out of the house all day and had no problems with the Gramovox picking up a bluetooth from my phone.Sound:I had a Spotify playlist of all sorts of "Kentucky Derby sounding" folk music but also some top 40 music. I think it sounded best with the higher treble songs but held its own playing some pop and hip/hop.Price:Price is higher, but I'm happy to support a business that makes its products in the U.S.A.
