MSSV KIK Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speaker with Built in Powerbank and Mic (Blue)

So, this is my first real review of a product on Amazon.I work in a restaurant kitchen, we like to be listening to music during service, and our current stereo set-up is...well, crap. Me and my boss came to the conclusion that we needed some decent wireless speakers for various parts of the kitchen. So I went looking. I looked at a lot, and the KIK appeared to look like a solid, affordable device. I had pretty high hopes for this device, after watching a video review for it on youtube. I've used it for 2 days, at the time of writing this review.Pros: Great sound. This thing sounds fantastic. It has great bass for such a little box speaker. It has a nice rubber case, good grip on a lot of surfaces, and if it ever takes a spill (which it probably will, it will be living in a kitchen after-all) I'm not terribly worried about it, because the rubber case is pretty solid. I like the and I really like that I can plug my phone into it and give it a charge if I need to.Cons: The product is supposed to be wireless through bluetooth for up to 33 feet... It is not. I'm not sure if my device is malfunctioning in some way, or if this is just the way it is...but my KIK arrived and seems to be incapable of playing properly beyond 2-3 feet away from my device. It breaks up and sounds scratchy, or simply does not play at all if it goes any further away than 3-ish feet. This is disappointing, because that defeats the purpose of getting a wireless speaker, but considering how nice a speaker it is for the price paid, I'm not really all that broken up about it.Summary: This speaker sounds GREAT for $40, and I am quite impressed by that. I just wish the wireless connection wasn't so spotty beyond a couple feet. 4 out of 5 stars, totally.

Great little package for just about any room. I work in a hangar that fits 3 helicopters and can hear it clear across the floor. Love the phone charging capability. I am using it instead of my bose, for the convenience wireless. Not as good as my bose pc speakers for sound, but a good run for the money. So far just loving it. Great for traveling.

It's a good little speaker, but I just expect something like this to be significantly louder. It doesn't get too far over speaking volume.

Sounds great until it is left on the charger. Made cheap, sold cheap. The Bluetooth feature stopped working after a couple uses. Would not recommend.
