Very pretty and good size salad bowl for small family.

We only used this bowl a few times and were careful to treat it per the instructions on care. In less than a month, there were three cracks starting at the top and one went down into the bowl by 3". We have returned it. Obviously, the quality was terrible.

It's really very nice, basically as pictured, exotic looking wood and VERY light. It's not small, it's just replacing my large salad bowl now that I only need to make servings for one or two. There's probably room for a serving for four, you just couldn't vigorously toss it around like I enjoy doing. It's a good size for a smaller table. For a tightly grained wood, it is really light, I was thinking it would weigh twice as much.I'm very please with the quality and the color of the wood, mine looks almost the same as the item picture. It's turned with no marks, wobbles or imperfections that I've found.For a turned solid piece of exotic wood, I think mine's an excellent price and value (I grabbed it for $22 on a Amazon Warehouse Deal).One thing about my bowl that's not really apparent in the picture, is that it's more an oval than round, I've posted pictures (the color is off in the pictures, it's darker/richer in real life). The top is 11 x 12 inch and there is a little dip in the middle edges so two end-sides are higher, like it has small handles. I have no problem with this, I actually find it easier to use than a standard round, level tipped bowl. I don't know if all the bowls are like this, or just mine.It soaked up the oil at first, so I would season it well with block oil, or coconut oil (or your oil of choice) before using it the first time, especially if you're using Balsamic vinegar or other dark ingredients.

I am very happy with this purchase, it's a gift for my bestfriend's 5th anniversary (wood is traditional). They host a lot and she will absolutely love this to serve her guests and display in her kitchen. It is lightweight but feels very sturdy. It was packaged very securely for shipping, multiple layers of packing paper and bubble wrap. The natural banding of the wood is so beautiful, it looks like a tiger’s eye crystal; even the least ornate side without much banding is still a shimmery honey. The included product info card will ensure she knows the lumber was harvested ethically.

We bought this as a gift for our son on September 1st. When we visited him at Christmas, we found that the top rim of the bowl had cracked. The return window on this bowl closed on October 1st, so all we can do is post a review to help potential buyers know that it is a bad product. Honestly, when have you ever had a wooden bowl crack after only 3 months! Buyer beware... this is not a good product or worth the money! PS, it has always been hand washed and dried!

Love this bowl. The wood grain is beautiful and the bowl is large but not too heavy. I used it to take a large salad to a dinner party and everyone commented on how lovely it was. Even with the salad in the bowl it was not heavy to carry. Note that it is not perfectly round but slightly oval; only slightly. I loved it so much I ordered the oval bowl. I would highly recommend it.

i use this bowl as a potato hole. i love the shape, how incredibly light-weight it is and great it is as a potato hole.

have had it for a few months now and it is holding up well. note that it is quite heavy to pick up.
