Screws in tightly and fits the shape of the base. As it turned out, my radio pulled in stations fine with no antenna (I live near a big city), so I just wanted something to fill the space left by the old one, that will not get battered at the car wash. The "rubber" part definitely has a cheaper feel than the original, but this antenna was pretty inexpensive. For what I paid, I'm very satisfied.

I had an antenna that would swing and hit my car when I drove through a windy area in the freeway. I replaced it with this one, which was a super easy installation, and I no longer have to hear the antenna hitting my car! yay!

I have a Toyota Prius 2005. This antenna comes with different connection adapters which means it can be installed in various vehicles in addition to my car.Quality rubber cover which I think will last longer. I recommend getting this item.

Works okay but doesn't seem to have the same range as the original antenna. Simple installation and looks good.

Great replacement for the longer OEM antenna on my 2006 Pontiac Vibe. The rubber part of the base on the original was all dried and cracked. Easy spin-on replacement. Radio still works as expected. I like that this one is shorter than the original.

This is significantly shorter than the OEM antenna for my '06 Prius (which was crumbling). Took 20 seconds to unscrew the old one and install this new antenna. I've noticed no difference in signal quality, but then again I live in a large city and typically only listen to a handful of stations.In any case, it was well worth the price to replace the unsightly original piece that was literally falling apart!
