After using these once I won't buy any other type of notebook. Excellent quality and thickness of paper means you don't see through to the other side once you've written on it unlike many of those with thinner lower quality paper. I write research notes for my novel using these books and they stay in good condition even though they travel around with me a lot. Perfect. Highly recommend.

I've been using these notebooks for years and was extremely disappointed when I received this one to find that the cardboard cover was much thinner and flimsier than usual. I like to write in bed and the hard cover has always made this easy but not with this one so I'm going to have to find something else. Really don't understand why it's been changed and definitely not new and improved as claimed on the cover.

This does NOT have a hardback! Adding an extra piece of bendy card does not make it so. Disappointed, this is not what I was looking for, description is incorrect

Rather disappointed that I have been mis-sold these. They are not hardback note pads. They do have a slighter stiff cardboard cover from other paper cover pads, but not enough to truly be a hardback notepad. Will still find a use for them but not the intended one.

I love these A5 Silvine wire-bound notebooks because the paper is good quality, they are just the right size and they're sturdy - perfect for commuting - they withstands the punishment of being in my bag. Also, the pages are perforated near the spine so you can tear them off easily for further use or disposal. A great product

Book has a CARD cover not a hard cover, it's okay, but not very robust
