Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Preschool Pull Back James

All the reviews stating this is a nice, lightweight, sturdy toy are right on the money. Two reasons I didn't rate 5 stars1-It doesn't work on carpet. I have both high, lush & low carpet and it doesn't move. It stutters and move a bit on my industrial grade VERY flat carpet but for what most of us have in our homes/living rooms, it will not move on it.2-I was quite suprised at how tiny the toy was as some others have noted. Other than that it is a good buy. My 14 month old daughter was quite addicted to it for a good 3 months. She wouldn't go anywhere without her "choo choo". It is durable as it has been dropped at least a hundred times on concrete floors, flung around, soaked in water (as she wouldn't shower without it), gnawed at etc etc you name it. Yet, it still looks pretty darn good for all that abuse and the pull back motor still works fine.

My 20 month old son loves thomas and friends. We have the wooden sets, and some of their big clunky trains as well. I had yet to find one that I deemed light enough, durable enough, and safe enough for unsupervised time.Because of this, my son would often play with a train such as his Thomas Shake and Go all day and then have a mega fit when I told him he could not take it to his room.I am so happy to have found an 18 month plus train that can go from daytime play to crib play. I hear him running it along his crib rails till he falls asleep and then again first thing in the morning. Needless to say he loves this toy.The pull back and go on this James train is simple for him and his twin sister to use. It also works on carpet.The toys is about the size of a wooden Thomas and Friends train.

Love this! We have a few of the metal Thomas trains that are battery operated and our toddler is fascinated by them. But he's a toddler boy, which means that they get dropped and thrown, and really those trains aren't meant for such rough use. We were really happy to find this toy, which is plastic, lighter, and durable. Its simple to operate, but still fun to watch go for short runs. Plus he can grab it on the go and take it with him.IF its not obvious, this is a larger size train, so doesn't fit on the tracks.

My 2-yr old grandson is completely gaga over Thomas and friends. So the pull-back power trains were a big hit with him. If we could find r/r track that fit them it would be the ultimate joy.

Love these little pullback toys and so do the great grandchildren. Buy several and they can have races. Their inexpensive enough that if a little child falls in love with one you can send it home with him/her and order another.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a Thomas lover. No complaints from his parents.
