ScarpaMen's Terra GTX Walking Shoe

Bought as a Christmas present for husband, he loves this brand and was very happy to get these again. Reports they are comfortable to wear all day, waterproof and long lasting.i ordered UK 11.1/2 but was sent a 12 as Scarpa sizes not an exact match to UK. Contacted supplier - Anna at Summit - and explained that I would be a couple of days over the 30 day return date if size was wrong on Christmas day. Anna couldn't have been more helpful understood my dilemma and reassured me that if size didn't fit on the say I could still exchange or refund. Plus she responded to my email same day and they do really quick delivery.As it turned out, the size they sent was perfect. Really pleased with product and very impressed with the service. Highly recommend this product and supplier.

Good boot but to tight

Used to love Berghaus boots but they have gone way downhill. These are very comfy. Absolutely no rubs, not even a breaking-in feeling. They're like slippers. Just low level hiking so far but I think these are going to be great for the hill. I'll come back to this review in the future.

These are so comfortable. I wish that I'd discovered this brand years ago. I've bought an identical backup pair.

Great lightweight, waterproof- so far, for the 2 months I’ve worn them. (Every day, all weathers - mainly wet at this time of year). Sizing is very good, unlike inov8 which I have to take two sizes bigger! Comfortable straight out of the box too. The only thing that spoils them is the grip - I don’t know why manufacturers set such great stall by Vibram soles, all the boots I’ve had with them have had awful traction & these are about the worst (& I’ve had a lot). If they used same sole composition as Salomon or inov8 they’d be absolutely brilliant. Just can’t trust them in wet conditions on stony or leaf covered slopes, or mud. Which is a real pity, because they’re great in every other respect.

First time I have had the GTX boots. Last two pairs have been the Rangers. Which are a good comfortable boot. The GTX are lighter and not as stiff on the sole. But for moorland walking they are really comfortable. After wearing the Rangers, I noticed you can feel stones if walking on very rocky ground through the soles, but having worn them for a few times, this feeling has gone. I would definitely have another pair of the GTX boots. The tongue is not sealed all the way up like the Ranger, but this has not been a problem so far.
