River Stone Baby Birds: Paint a Colorful Aviary on Rocks

This book has no publisher. It was throw together by the author. It looks like it was made on a word processor. It leaves a lot to be desired. Details of the final bird are minimal. This would be okay for children but not for adults. I am returning.

Some of the birds were very realistic looking and the steps to paint them were clear and easy to understand. Then there were others that didn't look as realistic, especially the heads. Overall, I did find the book very helpful and filled with great tips.

I needed ideas for painting birds on stones and this book gave me some good suggestions. There are some things I will change to make them my very own, but that is an artist option isn't it?

Beautiful book with many ideas and directions for painting many different baby birds. Would have also liked a comparison of the baby bird with the adult. Fun project with many comments of finished rocks.

Like this because alot of diagrams and explanation -- easy to understand and get started.

Not that great

This is a beautiful book, with easy to follow instructions and wonderful photos of the finished works. I am so looking forward to trying my hand at painting these cute little birds. My only disappointment is that part of the book is missing, that is pages 39-50 are not there and the baby hummingbird, which is my favourite, is within that section. I am reluctant to return the book and ask for another as it could be just the same. I am wondering if this book is a second because if so it should be advertised as such.
