great Polos

I ordered the Nestle Polo Mint Roll Original (Case of 48). Two surprises. (1) The picture showed the product in a nice polo box which is easy to store and grab a roll from as needed. It came in a plain cardboard box which held most of the tubes vertically and a few on top. It’s unclear how you store them and know what you have. And (2) these are the smaller 25g rolls (not the larger 38g rolls). The price is good, the product is right, but these were definitely negative surprises.

The taste is, in my opinion, superior to that other well-known brand of mint with a hole in the center. This is due to a more mellow mint flavour (don't get me wrong, you will still feel that minty flavour go down into your lungs and up into your nasal pasages if you crunch them like I often do) and one that does not have an artificial or chemical-type taste to it. The packaging is great; the mints are rolled up in an inner film of plastic wrap surrounded by an outer aluminum foil wrap--if not waterproof it has to be water-resitant. At the very least the packaging must preserve the porduct's freshness. I give it fours stars only because my favourite flavour is spearmint and these mints are peppermint otherwise I highly recommend them.

The description said they're from England. They are from India. They are not the same as Polo Mints made in England.

Love polos and they are impossible to find on this side of the Atlantic. A few of the rolls had broken as it was drop kicked across the pond. No harm as they taste delicious in pieces too!
