ASUS New Nexus 7 FHD Official Travel Cover - Dark Grey

I'm very particular about my cases/shells. I read a lot of negative reviews about this product and I became a bit wary before it even arrived. But now that it has, let me tell you why this soft shell is awesome.1) I wanted a protective case but everything on the market tries to be overly functional with the stand-up folds (which translates into bulk). The flaps on this case are simply for screen protection and are meant to fold nicely around the back so that you can easily grip your device.2) magnets: TRUE the flaps dont stay closed but im an OCD person (and so are you if you're looking to buy a slim case for your nexus) and i find myself double checking to see if the magnetized flaps on other cases really locked my screen. so im not complaining about the flaps. Its usually sitting flat on the table or when im carrying it around im holding it appropriately anyway.3) the fit is real nice, it didnt warp when i open the flaps (something i was worried about). the finish of the rubber is also very nice with just the right amount of grip and slip. I think overall its very streamlined and slim and elegant. i love the dark grey rubber look (reminds me of the original grey on the limited edition PS4 or the original PS3)4) oh yeah and the rubber over the buttons are soft so its easy to press and you get a tactile feel when you push the buttons instead of needing to push really hard with some harder rubber cases out there.I cant say if this case is for you. it depends on your preference. Ive been looking for something super slim and elegant and I think this is it (after trying out 5 other very high quality cases on the market). Put on a matte screen protector and man the whole package looks gorgeous and feels premium. Anyway just my opinion!

Received my Nexus 7 2013 last week and was anxious to get some type of protective cover. Ordered this one because I really couldn't believe that Asus would put out a piece of junk and the reduced price was a great incentive. GLAD I did...expecting a piece of junk, I opened the package to find a high quaility item made of heavy duty material with perfect alignment of all the controls, camera lenses and input connections. Very impressed with the ease of sliding the tab into the case without any looseness mentioned by other reviewers. Cover flap is substantial and fits the screen precisely and is heavy enough so it does not flop around as suggested, It also serves well when holding the tab during use. No magnets for this case is not really an issue as I was looking for a protective cover to guard my investment. If you are looking for a case with all the bells and whistles ie; magnets, support stand or anything else, there are plenty of the faux leather ones out there but this one does not deserve all the critical remarks and I would certainly buy another....in fact I may get a red one for when I get tired of grey!

Some people complained that this folio is too rubbery. I like it a lot. It's very slim. My only minor complaint is that its a little balky when trying to take a pic. I like that it doesn't have a microfiber inside flap. Those tend to pic up body oils and it ends up on the screen. This is an awesome folio if you want something slim that does the job well.

Soft/smooth, no magnetic automatic turn on when opening, but very thin so it's not bulky in my bag. Protects tablet well. Cover accepts smudges and ink marks easily, so it looks a little dingy now, but it has help up. (I thought for sure at first glances the front cover would rip off, but it hasn't even started to. Made better than I expected.) It does feel like it would easily slip off sometimes when I grab the edge and the cover pulls away from the tablet, but it hasn't totally come off yet while using it. So 4 stars for great product that has minor gripes about it.

As a preface to my review, I am impartial to Silicone cases as they are cheap, durable, don't get dirty easily, and generally look great.This is no exception (though it isn't as cheap as some). The quality of this is really impressive for a silicone case. The fitment is perfect - even the cutouts have perfect offsets around things like the camera lens or speaker grilles. It isn't loose, like some have said, around the corners, unless you're actually trying to take it off. I can flop mine around by the lid and it won't come loose. Speaking of which, the lid lays surprisingly flat onto the screen, which is nice. The case feels good in the hand and works very well with the Nexus Wireless Charger (that is sold on Google Play, though I imagine other Qi chargers work fine as well). Something else to point out is that the headphone jack cutout is large enough to allow headphones plugs with larger diameters.I really don't understand how this case is getting mediocre reviews. It's really good.

It does the job but is not as high quality as its Nexus 2012 equivalent. The cover is smooth rather than textured, is a bit less sturdy than the earlier version, and does not fit quite as snugly. All the same, I am satisfied with it.

After 3 years of using one... when it was destroyed... I bought he same again... Simple... does the job very well but couldn't handle the abuse of my hand...Thin and adds almost no weight to the tablet.

very thin, flimsy asus cover. doesnt offer a lot of protection, but keeps the slimness of the tablet itself. will probably sell and buy the premium cover.

薄くて本体にピッタリフィットしてとてもしっくりしています。ふたはペラっとしていますが、斜めにして立てるとスタンドにもなります。ただ背面カメラを頻繁に使う人には持ちにくいので、向いていないと思います。安かったので、色は青しか選べませんでした。
